Even though i was pretty sure he would be back, this too me kind of confirms where he's leaning towards a bit. Why else would he just go out and try to recruit free agents for the Vikes unless he was coming back and wanted to sure up depth and roles for his return. Just my opinion though, I honestly think he should just retire instead of making himself look like a jackass every off-season.

i posted this in one of the LT threads.

All this tells me is that Favre was helping the Vikes recruit him....i don't see any definitive notions that say Favre will be back. We know he could change his mind a dozen times between now and next Thursday.

But why else would he just be "helping" the vikes during the Off-season. Shouldnt he be off doing more Wrangler Jeans commercials?

ugh i hate this fucking guy. he sucks, he is a choker and nobody should pay any attention to his crybaby ass. i only hope he goes away so that i dont have to hear about his whiny ass anymore.

then again watching him suck and choke at the end of the year would be fun to watch again. however that team is good enough not even brett favre could fuck it up.

Because he's still undecided but don't worry, he'll reach a decision by the final week of training camp.

Favre will be back... he just hasn't been enough of a drama queen over it yet.

    The off-season goes like this:

    Combine
    Free agency
    Draft
    Mini-Camp
    Favre season
    Training camp

Favre season generally bleeds into training camp, so it's way early to worry about it. I kind of hope he plays so he has to come into NJ and face our D to get his ass kicked.

Favre will be back, he was so close to the Super Bowl it's going to eat him up on the inside.

    Still hate his guts tho...

Jets have Minnesota at home this year. Would be interesting if Favre comes back.

The ultimate sign that Favre will be back is that he played good last season. He won't retire until he throws 40 INT in a season and his team goes 3-13.

Favre will be back only so the last play of his career isn't an INT. I seriously believe that's as big a factor as him wanting to win another SB. He's a warrior, he's this, he's that; but did it really surprise anyone that his big, fat ego went front and center on impulse and he threw that ball last year? Let's be real here. He isn't re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-retiring with that stat as his final claim to fame for the same reason he throws that ball. No question in my mind.

And yet, the last play of his career will still be an INT. The fates have deemed it to be so.

Badger had a great post about Hamartia - the one tragic flaw brought on in spite of great fortune.

Favre may come back, or he may not, or he may change his mind, or he may not.

Favre threw his pitch to LT, and the Jets intercepted him in the offseason. Seems fitting.
