How can I tell when the draft is still 40 days away?

Do we need a WR to replace Cotch as the #2 on this team?

i think our offense will be one of the better in the league. will will still have a solid rushing attack, mostly to the credit of us having the best Oline in the league. and sanchez has a year under his belt and im sure they will let him air it out more this season. i would like to bring in or draft another receiver. lets not forget we moved woodhead last year to slot hoping he can be our welker and with a half a year under his belt maybe we can see what he can do

haha probably because he was drinking too many of those ice cold beers

JCo is an excellent #2 no need to replace him. Only way that's happening is acquiring BM and it wouldn't be wise due to potential contractual issues and a year long suspension. I don't think we draft anyone this year that will have an immediate impact on offense unless its a Golden Tate/slot WR type of pick. Our starters are set in stone for 2010 at every single position except #3 WR. I think we will focus mostly on depth and potential future starters in the trenches, a slot WR, a future starter at safety and possibly a RB depending on the results of the LW situation.

He was originally fired because he sold beer to a 22 year old who didnt show his id

After some serious BlueJay fan backlash, he was rehired, apparently.

Between 11-20 is most likely. Provided that line stays in tact Green and Tomlinson should be good for over 2000 yards on the ground. Even though he played brilliantly in the POs, Sanchez will still have the handcuffs on him early on in the season. I expect him to get a lot closer to 3000 yards but he probably wont get over the hump this year.

I picked Top 10 with my Green Glasses on. I think that if the running game works like it's supposed to (top 2), and Sanchez has a great year, and Braylon stops pretending to be Clifford Franklin, that it's possible for us to be the #10 offense in the league. I'd be happy with anything over 15, as long as our D is still #1 though.

I would get rid of cotchery in a heartbeat if it means for us to get one step closer to a championship. I'm hearing all the talk here on TGG about why Marshall when we have cotch and cotch deserves his spot... Yea the dude earned his stripes but you mean to tell me you would rather have cotch as the #1 over fucking Brandon Marshall...WTF are you guys thinking....You fans are too emotional. You want to win or you want to go home? Ask yourself that. I must be the luckiest/happiest fan to know that Brandon Marshall is on the Trading block... How fucking lucky am I?

I wanted to post this in the brandon marshall thread but Scikotic fucking closed it. I would appreciate it if threads would remain fucking open. SO i'm not trying to start another thread so i'm posting it here.

    Now back to cotchery

Cotchery is a player that I respect but I don't mind seeing him leave and I'm sure Tanny and Rex would easily hop on my bandwagon...It's about the future and to hear people talk about Golden Tate at 29 sickens me when we can easily get Brandon Marshall. HELLOOOOOOOO!!!!! Did you guys not see what he did to the cowboys ohhh and what he did to the AFC champion Colts or am I just missing something that you guys know about.

Cotchery is a average receiver that can catch the ball...He has put in his work but he is far from ever being probowl caliber. Why are people so attached to him to the point that they wouldn't want to include him in a deal for Marshall...

Let's talk about Cotchery...looking at the pros and cons of having him vs Brandon Marshall...

One step closer to a championship? Maybe. But it's funny that the most talented and prolific WRs in the league today - Moss, Owens, Johnson, Smith, Marshall, Fitz etc. don't have a single championship between them.

We're a defense-first team, and having tough, reliable, team-oriented players who get the job done is what we need on offense. Marshall is a headcase - maybe he would be a step in the right direction, maybe not - but Cotchery is an extremely valuable part of the team and trading him would definitely be a step backwards.

    Marshall vs Cothery...:

as football players (on the field): Marshall

    off the field: Cotchery

contract-wise on a run first team with already a #1 WR: Cotchery

This is way many of us are pro-Cotch...

Let's talk about the fact that we already have had 2 Marshall threads that were combined with another Marshall thread and then subsequently closed. Enough with the f*cking Brandon Marshall bullshit.

Or, let's go the other way. Imagine trading for Fitzgerald. Imagine trading Cotchery for DeSean Jackson AND Jeremy Macklin. Imagine Tannenbaum trips and falls into a time machine, steals the Jets' 2985 draft card, and slects Jerry Rice instead of Al Toon!

As long as the offense shows improvement from last year I will be happy with it. The defense with out a doubt will improve so why not the offense. Sanchez will be a better player which (on paper) should translate to a more productive offense. The Oline will still be the Oline which should allow the Jets to still be an effective running team. Get the passing game to follow and the will be a team that will compete with the best this league has to offer. Go! Jets!

No clue where to put this, so I'll throw it in here. I'm in Vegas right now, and the Jets are 7-1 odds to win the Superbowl. So our offense most look sufficient enough to do pretty damn good!

not surprising since they were a final 4 team.

it is nice to see them up that high though.

They have to factor in the Sanchez progression aspect too.
