...for having his dad prepare him to run the 40 at the Combine. Deon Sanders nailed it as soon as he got in his stance. He said his stance was terrible and whoever was coaching to run the 40 did not know what they were doing. Not being able to hurt has dad's feelings might cost him millions. Come to think of it if my dad was a former body builder, I might have done the same thing out fear of him putting me in a sleeper hold. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-combine/09000d5d8168cdf9/Haden-s-House
at his pro day he'll knock that time down because he'll work with a pro on the stance for his 40 time.
Any team desperate for a CB that passes on Haden will live to regret it for the rest of his career. This kid is going to be a stud CB, I couldn't care less about his 40 time. IMO he is one of the safest picks in the entire draft.
The major sites just passed over that little tidbit of information for a while, when it was pretty obvious that's what caused his poor time (I mentioned it in the initial Haden thread). Horrible form and he still ran a 4.55, he should knock that down quite a ways, especially on that Florida track.
What does it matter if its Jets related? It's still posted in the appropriate forum. I'm a draft junkie and I appreciate this post.
I thought this thread was going to be a comment on how big Joe Haden's ears are. I think thats what really slowed him down
Screw the 40 time, the Jets should trade up to draft Haden... hopefully me being a die-hard gator fan doesnt obscure my perspective
The question was and what does this have to do with the Jets. I thought if he put his mind to it he could figure out the answer was "nothing".
So...give up the majority of our already meager picks in a ridiculously deep draft to secure a player at a position for which we already have two pro bowlers? No thanks.
