Revis is 24 (will be 25 for the start of next season). Cromartie is 25. These guys are young and very talented. I'm excited for more than just next season but for our future in general.
Just a nitpick- Cromartie will be 26 years of age during the 2010 season. If this excites anyone- Deion Sanders will be a big supporter of the Jets this season.
Heh, yeah, Deion was all over Revis at the end of the season and during our postseason run. Now that Revis and Primetime's fellow FSU alum are going to be on the same field, I wouldn't be surprised to see him wearing a Jets throwback on NFLN for opening day. I found an article that was written about Deion's whole mentoring thing in '08, and there's a bunch of stuff about Cromartie in there: http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ms-deionthementor090308&prov=yhoo&type=lgns
No problem whatsoever. I just wanted to note his 2010 season age. At 26, Cromartie will soon enter what should be his prime. I would say 26-28 is a good cornerback's prime. Without doing an exhaustive study- just going off the top of my head here- I would say most Hall of Fame cornerbacks had their best seasons (postseason honors-wise) between the ages of 26 and 28.
MD13 is a Dolphins fan. He's glad his team won't be throwing very often vs. the Jets mighty secondary.

315 posts to finally get the one that sums up exactly how I feel about this trade. I am far from giddy about this. The Jets seems to trade for these pouty douchebags vs TJ like guys of a couple years ago. I am not sure I really like this direction, enough with other teams malcontents and cast offs already.
Youre saying you dont like the way Braylon turned out ? Id consider that a success. And most analyst/fans seem to LOVE this move for the jets. Even if Cro isnt a stud, hes still going to be better than Lito, simply because Cro has some impressive speed. Absolute worst case scenario he makes an EXCELLENT #3 corner, and someone we can use on special teams. Plus the guy has the record for the longest play in NFL history !!!
He also has the record for the most missed tackles (not really, but you catch my drift). He needs a pink skirt to wear on the field...seriously. We've been calling for a trade all year...really glad to cut this cancer from our team. One youtube video sums up this guys play as you guys should vividly remember: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Na4cE3m2Gwo He made that pitiful "tackle move" ALL year. You guys should hope that he pulls his head out of his a$$ because he's been saying that he's going to get better for two years now and still finds drama wherever he goes. (aka - throwing champagne bottles at people's head in a bar.) Best of luck...hopefully he turns things around for you guys. He's going to need success to keep up on all of his child support bills.
