Unless you have the situational breakdowns for these stats(passing vs. running play) then they are pretty much meaningless. Is he making those tackles against WRs? Halfbacks? Are they close to the LOS or about 15 yards downfield on a running play?

The reason everyone is reacting to the Greene play is because there was a playoff victory on the line and for that play, the Chargers may as well have had 10 players on the field. The guy was in a prime position to take down Greene and help get the Jets off of the field and he pulled up completely.

Don't forget about the 4th and 1 run by Jones to seal it, either. If a guy is going to suck that hard at tackling then he better be Deion-good in coverage, and Cro is not Deion-good.

The other thing I'd say about Cromartie... if what happened against the Jets wasn't typical of him... if it was simply a brain fart and he was otherwise a great player to have around, the Chargers wouldn't be actively seeking to dump him right now.

If you were listening to the media, God was the reason they missed those kicks so maybe God put an invisible wall in front of Cromartie (or made him a wuss) for that one play.

Ohh.. so it looks like we agreed on giving a 3rd rounder in 2011, that could turn into a 2nd.. based on performance or whatever..

How's the 2011 draft looking, anyway?

I know that's way way far ahead but it'd be good to know what we'd be giving up

Just got word we traded for Cromartie.

A 3rd round pick in 2011, that can move up to a 2nd.

as of right now.. 2011 is going to be a lockout.. so who cares..

but seriously its hard enough to project third round talent for this draft.. impossible to do it now for the 2011 draft..

plus you dont know whether its going to be the third or if it becomes a second..

  15. Again, I trust Rex with this move. Cromartie is extrenmely talented and his skillset fits the bump and run scheme we employ extremely well. If he can lay off a the gambles in coverage and be a bit more physical...he's a clear upgrade to an already great defense.

stupid move honestly especially if the pick is high

cromartie isnt any better then sheppard/strickland/lowery

the jets r only doing this because of the lack of FA

i wonder how they were able to circumvent the final 8 rule in the trade tho as you cant trade for a player you couldnt sign in FA
