Carlos Dansby on his way to Miami

That sucks. C'mon Giants, get on the phone

 

To think we all want the Giants to sign him.

 

whether he goes to the Giants or Dolphins I'll still hate him, I lost respect for the guy when he scored the GW TD against GB in the WC rd then started poitning to his Captain's patch on his uniform. Good player but that rubbed me the wrong way and he belongs in a place like Miami or w/ the giants.

 

Don't worry, the Fins are owned by Marc Anthony and J Lo.... they'll never be good

 

Cant wait to hear all the Fins fans saying this was the missing piece...now they are Superbowl bound.

 

Karlos Dansby wants HUGE money.

Very talented player, when healthy.

I remember years back, many Jet fans were screaming for the Jets to draft Dansby.

 

That'd be a huge pickup for Miami. Hopefully $nyder goes to work.

 

He's already gonna be into deep spending mode when Peppers signs at 12:05 AM.

Our pal Jeff Darlington of the Miami Herald reports that, contrary to reports that soon-to-be-free-agent linebacker Karlos Dansby will be heading to Miami tonight, Dansby is not traveling to South Florida.

Darlington cites quadruple confirmation for his report.

That said, the Dolphins have no reason to admit to setting up travel plans for Dansby. Any communications before midnight -- even calls or e-mails to set up post-midnight travel -- constitutes tampering.

So even with Darlington's multiple confirmations, we rule out nothing at this time of the year. Indeed, the Dolphins finagled a quick deal with then-49ers guard Justin Smiley two years ago, under circumstances suggesting that travel plans were made before the clock struck twelve.

Dansby was asked what teams he was interested in on NFL Live, and the only one he mentioned was Miami - so it seems like the clear frontrunner. Schefter said he's visiting there tomorrow.
