    My monthly Jet's mock draft.

The Jets trade Kerry Rhodes for a third Rd pick. (we would be so lucky)

Rd 1) Devin McCourty, CB, Rutgers.....impressive workout at the Combine. I really liked McCourty's foot work and change of direction. I was wrong about DM's speed..he's the real deal.

Rd 2) Tyson Alualu, DE, California.....a relentless player that makes tons of plays. Depth on the line is imperative.

Rd 3) Chris Cook, S/CB, Virginia...a versatile player that would help our depleted secondary. Had a strong Combine. Think Sean Smith type player.

Rd 5) Blair White, WR, Michigan State... average speed, great hands player. Could easily be the slot receiver the Jets sorely lack.

Rd 6) Dexter Davis, OLB, Arizona State.....good combine numbers, but very disappointing 2009 season drops his stock.

Rd 7) Thomas Austin, OC/C, Clemson......can play all positions on the line, except LT.

Like the mock hate the idea of Trading Rhodes for a 3rd rounder which turns into his rookie replacement.

Cook seems like a great prospect, but I just hate the idea of essentially trading rhodes for a rookie replacement.

Would Cook play S or would E. Smith do it? If we do trade Rhodes for a 3 I'd like to get Rolle with that pick.

Can't argue with your first 2 picks (my sig for over a month :) )

I've also become a fan of Te-O'neshem in rd 6 as an OLB.

Have to study more about White...

What would you think of drafting Odrick in the 1st and getting a CB in the 2nd since so much depth is available...? It's a thought I've had for a while.

Cook has the skillset to play safety...but will probably be drafted to play CB by most teams.

I'd rather get a top CB...McCourty, Wilson, Ghee, than a second tier player.

    Perrish Cox was disappointing today.

Love the McCourty and White picks. That would be nice.

We recouped one for the Lito trade. The Eagles got our 4th and we got their 5th back.

Thanks.Thats awesome news and we cut Lito too.Watching PTI, the Jets are getting ripped for releasing Thomas Jones and I agree. One more year of TJ will not hurt.Lets see what we do in the draft.I hear Hardesty is doing quite well.Wouldnt mind seeing him in Green.

I wanted to draft a RB...not enough picks.

Chauncey Washington will get his opportunity.

Injuries and academic issues have held his career in check. Washington has talent to be a good North/South player.

I could see someone like Keiland Williams or Lonyae Miller going undrafted. And us scooping 'em up.

Good point...although I think both will get drafted.

I'm less concerned about our RB depth...compared to our needs in the Secondary.

I'm certain Tanny has a plan.

i like the mccourty pick only if wilson is gone. Although i would love to get a pass rusher im pretty sure adalius thomas will be scopped up wen he gets cut to reunite with Rex, so then the secondary need becomes DE i love the tyson pick since he already has experience in the 3-4

I really like this mock. We can only pray that it turns out something like this.

Chris Cook is one of my favorite players in this draft.

I would like to see a running back selected though.

Cook has a lot of value, people need to take notice.

I just ran out of picks, I really wanted to add a RB.

I feel we need two additions to the secondary, a slot WR, a DE, an OLB that can get to the QB with some coverage skills and some versatile O-line depth.

I'm banking on Chauncey Washington and a Free Agent signing after the draft.

Mr. E what do you think on Lonyae Miller? If he goes undrafted or if he's available in the 7th I'd like him here to compete with C. Washington for a spot...

Yayo Miller is a workout warrior. I expected so much out of him, especially after he ran a 4.38 in high school. He just never lived up to anyone's expectations.

I think he'll get drafted because he was decently productive as a starter and as Mathews' back up. Plus, he performed very well at the combine.

Miller has the physical tools to be a very good #2 or #3 back in the NFL, but he can't put it all together. For a guy that's 220 plus pounds, he runs incredibly soft.

The two huge differences between Miller and Mathews are: vision and finishing off runs.

Fresno State knows produces very underrated running back talent like Lorenzo Neal, Michael Pittman, Derrick Ward, and Clifton Smith. Miller could be a decent sleeper pick in the 6th round.

Those 1st three picks puts this team over the top.

Cook looked awesome today. Love his size and athleticism. Dennis Thurman can work with that kid.
