That's in your world, in the real world what a colleague makes means everything, especially when they're a drain on the business.
No doubt. The fact that he went on record with a more diplomatic quote tells me that he probably said the first part, thought better of it, and convinced the reporter to put it under "anonymous" if he game him an on-the-record bite. I'm going to miss TJ, he's been one of my favorite Jets the last few years, but 6 mil is just too much for a RB on the decline. At least the Jets are releasing him so that he has the freedom to go anywhere he can.
You wouldn't be mad if one of your co-workers was making 10 times your salary to sit at a desk next to you and draw pictures with crayons?
I guess I won't ever understand being a billionaire? I think that was Woody Johnson is.. Made of money. Damn if I was a billionaire I would love to keep TJ around, and wouldn't give a shit(of course I don't know since I'm no in Woody's shoes.). I'd keep him for depth. i'm also going to miss TJ's pregame warm-up speeches. Bye TJ!
Woody Johnson isn't Jerry Jones......he pays the bills....he doesn't make the day-to-day roster decisions.
sure he does.....but when it involves higher profile players (like Favre or Sanchez). I'm pretty sure Tanny didn't get sign off from Woddy to turf Chauncey Washington.
Only if i thought it was directly effecting my earning potential. However, 90% of the time you are making what they want to pay you.Its not like they may cut that guy and divide his salary amongst the staff. That being said, the minute i have enough influence to correct the situation it will be handled. It's just seems like bad taste to complain about what others make.I.M.O.
Who cares? You're getting paid millions to play a sport. Suck it up. A few wins in the regular season cures all ailments.
For those of you who are saying "We should keep him," don't you realize that you'd be creating the same problems we've seen in years past, keeping players like Chrebet, Lewis and Jones past their prime?
I guess that's where we differ. I like being surrounded by people that can challenge me and do get rewarded for their effort. It makes me work harder. Being surrounded by idiots who make too much money for lack of performance is not only bad business, I think for the most part it is also a huge hit for morale.
This is the evolution of football stop with all the emotional crap TJ is done it is what it is time for this team to move on.
Ok,you got it a little twisted.I'm not saying I like that situation, only it's not good form to bitch about it.
Bart Scott is on Mike and Mike talking about this right now. Also alot of talk with Adalius Thomas with Bart Scott the past two days.
