Where would you rather throw to, Revis Island or Nnamdi Atoll? Yes, I'm gonna go ahead and trademark that.
I can't believe this is picking up steam...I'd shit my pants. Raiderjeaux would come and explain how Aso sucks now and it was time for him to leave if this happens. Could be the catalyst to his grand return.
if the jets get asomugha OMG this team will be lethal i wouldn't be surprised if he does restructure his deal a bit to land in NY...the jets can front load a ton of guarenteed money in the first year and then have a cap friendly contract throughout
This trade will happen then in week 4 of the preseason Nnamdi and Darrelle will collide on a meaningless hail mary End result - career ending neck injury for Revis and torn ACL for Nnamdi In conclusion - We all cry 'same old jets' and go back to our rightful place in the shitter
I think Sheppard, this year's 1st, next year's 2nd, and some conditional pick amounting to a 3rd or 4th next year depending on Sheppard's time would be fair.
if sheppard is due 10$ it wouldn't make sense to swap the two for a low round 1st netting a savings of 6 mil... i dunno i wouldn't pull the trigger on that trade...I think take sheppard out and throw in another pick and they would be more interested...i think or would assume that the raiders would be more interested in picks then underperforming, overpaid talent...although they seem to have been very interested in such talent for quite some time i think lito would be a great nickel for us but not for 10 mil
Even if we could tarde and sign him, where does this leave us with the $$$ to re-sign Birck, Mangold, Leon etc.?!? Yup' would love to have him, but not at the expense of what we have to sign shortly as well.
You should probably read the thread. He would have to be willing to restructure his contract if the trade is to even to be considered by the Jets realistically.
Restructuring his deal doesn't mean he's going to have a really small salary. He's still going to command big bucks.... I'm of the assumption that there will be a salary cap with the new CBA, and if that is the case, Aso ain't coming here because Mangold, Revis, Harris, Brick and Leon all need long term deals as well. If Tannenbaum somehow does this without fucking us financially long-term, he actually should have a gold statue of himself built outside Florham Park.
I dunno if he necessarily be a number 2. More like 1 and 1A. Where they differ is that Aso just covers a side of the field and Revis covers the WR he's supposed to cover. It would be a great complement.
