Just got a phone call from the Jets asking, nearly begging me to buy a PSL. The sales woman was very nice, professional, etc. I told her if WJ had built the stadium in Queens, or even Manhattan, I would have found a way to pay up. I said two rivers, and another state is just too much to ask. 4 hours of commuting. And the PSL doesn't even buy me the right to go to other events... it's a shared seat with a Giants fan. She asked me if I knew about their payment plans, etc, etc. I wonder if Woody is kicking himself in the ass right now. He should be. That is all.
From the Jets' shop. You ordered something... they have yer email and phone. I say let 'em sit on their f'n New Jersey PSL's. It isn't like we didn't tell Woody to come home. He chose not to. I choose to watch on TV. Sure, I'll go to ONE game in the new digs, but it will be a one time shot.
Well they've stopped calling me after about 6 tries to sell me a PSL. But before the Colts game my wife signed up for the contest for a trip to Indianapolis and used her phone number. FIRST thing Friday morning (9:00 am) someone calls her and says: "I understand you entered the Jets contest for a trip to Indianapolis" As you can imagine, she gets all happy and starts thinking of changing plans for the weekend. The guy goes on: "Unfortunately you didn't win, but I wanted to let you in on an opportunity to get in on seats for the new stadium" MOTHER FUCKING PIECES OF SHIT!! It just goes to show you, as soon as any number, name, or address gets within their sight that isn't in the current database, they'll pound on you like rabid starving wolves. If you want to get back at your enemy, fill out a form of interest in season tickets in their name and see how many calls they get!!
The beginning gave it so much potential, but you need to throw in at least two more fucking's for an epic post.
I get my Jets gear form Modells, Sports Authority, and the back of some guy's truck. I blame the fucking Patriot Act.
thats almost a carbon copy of what i said to the gentleman on the line last week.... however, if i get a young gal on the horn next time, we just may have to iron out a deal..... jil
That is funny- Do you think by telling them if it was in Queens they're going to move it? I get it but seems pointless now.
Did you ever fill out an application for a credit card at a game or TC in order to get a free Jets item? they have an agreement to share the info they get.
I've gotten calls from them too. Told them money's tight. They said well there is payment plans, I was like no thanks. I'm not spending 125 per game.
$125 per game??? That's cheap! Where they hell did you get a price like that? Good seats in the upper were $200+ per game. I pad $1800 for 2 seats and a parking pass the last few years. One seat now is $1600 for 10 games and then some. $125 is pretty cheap. Are you at the back wall of the UD?
It's called business, no need to get mad about it, don't buy it. No need to hate on Jersey, either, no matter where they built it there will be people who can and can't get there more easily. Speaking of phone calls, I did get the recorded one from Rex the day after the Indy game, that was pretty cool.
It's not hating on Jersey, it's that if they want to charge manhattan prices they should be in manhattan
I think the upper deck is $125. http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2008/08/new_york_jets_keep_upper_deck.html
