$5k ? Is that the least the NFL can fine a player?

If it was on Manning or Brady it would've been 25k at the least.

Who cares he is playing next Sunday and Sanchez isn't. That is all I care about.

Yeah if the hit is on Manning his vag would definitely have 10 pounds of sand in it.

How did they come up with $5K? Seems pretty low to me for a hit on a QB.

I'd appeal it if I was him. I still can't believe people think that hit was uncalled for. This kind of thing happens when you have the #1 rushing attack in the league and most of your passes come off of play action.

Bullitt is an undrafted 3rd year making 375K. Thus the low fine.

For you guys saying that 5k is low for the fine, Sanchez jumped up after the play was over. It's not he was unconcious, or it was a hit to the head. Sanchez is fine, that's all that matters. Who cares how much the fine was for, the point is, the NFL realized that the hit was wrong and made ammends by punishing the player who made the hit.

If Bullitt had hit Brady like that, he'd be sentenced to death by firing squad.

A flag at the time of the hit would have been better than a fine. The reach around after the fact does no justice at all.

Fine should have been a game check MINIMUM. There is no excuse for that kind of play in the NFL.

What bullshit. Bobby McCray was fined 20,000 dollars! What makes Bullitts hit on Sanchez less of a penalty? I understand it was on two incidents but split that and its 10,000 dollars which is still double

That's my feeling, the NFL fining the guy after the fact means nothing. It should have been called on the field by the zebras.

Like me watching an impractical movie, when an NFL player is fined I don't even think about the number for a split second and sometimes just don't really even look at the dollar amount of the fine cause I know it's a lot of money and I can't imagine what it would be like to be able to be cool with paying that.

    But 5,000 dollars? That's like...tangible.

I didn't see anything wrong with the hit. He shouldn't have been fined.

The refs should be fined for not throwing the flag.

It was play action so Bullit thought he still had the ball. Nothing wrong with it.
