Wow, I was reading up on that Vick shit and I decided to go to finheaven.com. Those people down in Miami smoke some good shit. I mean yeah most of our drugs that get imported come through Florida but jeez, share the wealth. Im glad I chose TGG you fuckers actually have a head above your shoulders (not everyone, there are some special people out there) and make sense when you talk. Sure we like to live the dream where our team will never be beaten in any game ever, but it seems people on this forum at least understand that the Jets arent going to be exactly perfect next season, and can accept it for a long term picture which seems like is being painted at the moment. Fins fans.....think Vick will be better then Randel El (sorry if I fucked the name up, somewhat in a rush). Talking about trick plays, Vick catching a scoop pass and throwing a bomb for 99.99 yards. Seems Madden 07 already came out down there. Someone needs to regulate dreams with reality down there.

As a response to Fins and their pride and joy Vick, I was thinking the Jets should sign Daryl Strawberry to a 12 year deal as our kick returner. Toss some rock in his veins, he wont touch the grass once.

When did randle-El become a great player? it's not like they are saying Vick can become Randy Moss it's Antwan Randle-El- a mediocre NFL WR who makes an occassional big play.

Randle El is another Overpaid Redskin player. Vick is a bum, Culpepper is an unknown but everyone in Miami seems to think he will take them to the promised land. I think Miami is good, but I don't even see them in the playoffs.

I agree. The Pats took some big hits this offseason, most notably Adam Vinateri.

I still think the Pats win the division, but Miami will compete for it no doubt. Especially if Daunte can get his ass in gear.

Miami can win the division IF Ronnie Brown is ready to be a feature back(I think he is but until he does it no one knows for sure) and IF Miami leans more on Brown's legs than Culpepper's arm. If they rely too much on daunte they'll suffer the same fate as Minny did all those years.

Never said he was a great player. He is average with an occasional solid play, but even with the status he is at right now, do you think it's legit to say Vick is better or will be better then Randle El?

I'm not calling Vick anything until I see him in action, and actually make the team. Until that happens, he's just another player that Saban is interested in trying to develope. Vick has rare speed, and I think that's where he'll have the best chance at making any impact, like as a WR / K-P Returner....

There's homers everywhere in this league, TGG included....

I think it's fair compare those two, similar football background and skills, I won't go as far as sayin' whose gonna be better, I see nothing wrong in hoping he'll be as succesfull Randel EL.

Oh, please let Marcus be a kick returner. Just so Darrell McClover can break him in half, just like his old teammates did last year when everyone thought Marcus could actually play football. Vick is a waste of a jersey, no idea why Saban's keeping him around.

I loved the way Vick stomped that guy's leg. Shows true competitive heart. I'm surprised the Fiaders didn't take him in the first round. But seriously, as soon as the Jets drafted a qb/wr trick player, you knew it was just a matter of time b4 the Squids got one of their own.

The biggest difference between Fins fans and Jets fans is that Fins fans are spoiled silly.

Just let them go through the wilderness once or twice for a decade or so and you'd see no difference.

I think Jets fans are more realistic. We know what to expect and not to expect from our players. Dolphins fans think they pretty much have the best player at every position. They think Ronnie Brown is a top 5 back, Chris Chambers is a top 5 WR, Randy McMichael is a top 5 TE, etc. Granted theyre not as bad as Redskins fans, but theyre gaining ground in the ignorance department. Us Jets fans pretty much know our best player and top 5 player is Jonathon Vilma, thats it.

Every team has a lot of homers. The dolphins have plenty and the Jets do as well. We are fortunate that the dolphins fans that post here are very objective about their team. A lot of their fans believe that Saban is the second coming of god and that anything he touches turns to gold. I do think he's a good coach but lets see him make the playoffs in the NFL before he gets his spot in the hall of fame.

IMO the Redskins fans are the worst. A lot of them are already talking about having the pick they gave us being the 64th pick. They act like Clinton Portis is a top 3 running back. I will say he does put up good numbers, but I don't think he's an elite franchise player. They have spent a ton of money on coaches but good teams are built by having players brought in as rookies and developed and coached together over a number of years. Free agency and overpaying for proven average players does not equal a superbowl in this day and age.

They gave huge contracts to Randel El, Archulate and Andre Carter. None of these 3 players is someone I would say is dominating at his respective positions. Now those players have to come in and learn a new system and try to fit in with a new organization. How many free agents have we seen over the years change teams and prove that they were more a product of the prior system?

I would argue that Clinton Portis is an elite franchise player. He was among the best RB's in the NFL last year. I know you said "he isn't an ELITE franchise player", but Clinton is going to keep getting better in Washington. If they ever get a good QB he will be sick.

I am not saying he is an obvious pick to be an elite franchise player, but I think he could be among those guys.

Yeah I mean maybe I'm biased against him, he just doesn't seem like a real tough player. He seems to me more of a system back, he was nasty on Denver but as we've seen any back can be good there. In his 5 years he's put up nasty numbers, but only once has he been on a team that wasn't good and that was 2 years ago on the redskins where he averaged 3.8 yards. I'm not trying to say he's not good I just don't consider him a great running back.
