... I wanted to see us do it to Manning. I thought our motto was "Hit one of ours we hit two of yours!"

Did the NFL issue an apology for missing it yet?

The thing is that you can't hit Peyton Manning without the refs catching it so you have to be ready to sacrifice 15 yards for it. Thats a pretty bad idea in the AFC Championship game.

And don't hold your breath for any sort of apology from the NFL.

i thought Ryan was going to have a heart attack the way he was chasing down the ref & screaming @ him. I love his passion!

when the game was over (in the 4th), that would have been a good time

The game lasted as long as the Sanchezs tipped interception and even after that, Jets could have made 3 n out and got the ball back with plenty of time to score twice with an onside kick recovery. So the game was over on the last drive.

in all fairness, manning would have sold it a lot more than sanchez did ... refs throw late flags all the time. he should have stayed on the ground, writhing in "soccer" pain

he'll pick up the veteran moves soon enough

I wonder if they will look at any of the non-calls in that game tonight on Total Access. They did two plays from the San Diego game the week before.

As much as I like to see 'legal' pain in the NFL, taking a cheap shot at Manning does not make things right. Take a pop at the guy that did it.
Had we done that, and it was obvious I would have been pretty pissed off.
Love him or hate him, Manning is a great QB, (greatest??) and always plays within the rules of the game, the cheap shot on Dirrrty was nothing to do with him.

    B.S.

Much like Fraidy Brady, Manning takes getting sacked as a personal affront and almost without fail goes looking for flag.

And you don't trade a King for a Pawn.

Not the same impact as hitting a QB.

If Buddy was coaching Manning wouldn?t have finished the next series

I watched the video of the game again (and that play several times)

can't believe that late hit wasn't called

Hunter was called for a hold and I can't see it, I thought maybe they got the wrong number..but I can't find any hold??????

Peyton was crying after he got nailed at the 1 yard line on the sneak.

Imagine if he got hit late !!

fyi if you guys want to hear Bullitt's version of the story, I'm sure they'll ask him about it on the Bullitt & Jackson show (Melvin Bullitt and Marlin Jackson have a local radio show in Indy each Tuesday) - it starts in a few minutes (5pm eastern) - you can listen live on WNDE.com

Why would we want to hear the excuses of a cheap shot artist?

Bullitt would start on your team. Here he's a badass backup for Bob Sanders.

Ah. I see. The 'He would start on your team' defense for getting away with cheap hits on the other team's QB. Got it. I'll remember that for the next time the Jets play the Colts.

Its not BS, cheap shots are just that. People here are 'crying' over the hit on Sanchez, then go onto say do it to Manning, thats BS.
Send Manning a PM on how hes meant to look after getting sacked. The guys good because of what he is and how he conducts himself, thats what has made him.
Bottom line, cheap shots have no place in Football, let alone the PROs

Don't worry, as Sanchez becomes one of the better QBs in the league the refs will be much more liberal with their use of the yellow flags on behalf of the Jets
