    - MyFavoriteMartin (he doesn't have enough posts yet, so I made this thread or him).

MFM is right. Cotchery has been great all season. He might be the most underrated #2 receiver in the league. Always making sideline catches and we already know about his YAC, it's good to see Cotchery getting the job done when called upon.

Just like Manning never throws to the wrong receiver, J-CO never drops a ball that hits his hands. VASTLY underated receiver around the league.

Love Cotch as a WR, but one of our offseason needs is a punt returner. I appreciate his sure hands, but he is just way too conservative with his fair catch signals. He just isn't a threat back there.

The Jets just lost because the strength of this team got trashed. I really do not think it is the lack of appreciation more so then people wanting to know what went wrong.

Should of had four more looks today, minimum. Well, that'll be next year.

Thank you Future for doing this. The receiving department does need some some help, but it's great to know we've got one guy who's always reliable.

So clutch today. One great catch after another - not to mention that Sanchez seems to have a great rapport with him.

    The man is auto!

He caught everything this season and was dependable every week.
Then, He steps his game up in the PS and was even better.
    Amazing

Guy always seems to be all business too, professional like.. which is kinda ironic considering he's from NC State..

Just googled him, to read up on his past... did you all know he has 6 fingers on his left hand?

    EDIT: Apparently he doesn't anymore..

Cotchery was great. He has possession of a ball as soon as it touches his fingers. He's been great all year.

This is why I don't understand people talking about the Jets needing to go after receivers. Edwards and Cotchery make up a good 1a and 1b and Keller is a good pass catching TE.

Except for some depth to the O-Line and Leon coming back, Sanchez getting more experience is the only thing this offense needs.

I wonder how your 2 buddies from the draft are feeling right about now?

Cotch is an asset to this team. His YAC numbers are always huge, and he is sure handed. All the fans appreciate him, he just flys under the radar. I think thats the way he wants it.

Seriously, it boggles my mind how nobody talks about him (amongst Jets fan AND amongst the media). It seemed like during the playoff run, most of the attention went towards Sanchez, Revis, and Greene. Cotchery comes in, does his job efficiently by letting his play do all the talking, and then prepare for the next game. No nonsense, all professional.

He wouldn't be returning punts if Leonhard hadn't messed his hand up. Expect Jim back there next year unless we get an electric rookie from somewhere.

Cotch is a great WR but he shouldn't be critisised on his punt returning, he did an okay job and he was just a fill in after Leonhard and Leon.

First I said to myself why cant Braylon Catch like that now thats how your suppose to catch with tight coverage... Then I remember early in the seaon people were like yeah Leonhard is a Great Punt Returner he is Averaging 9 ypr and I was like yeah he is doing a great job of catching the ball but he is no threat after that he runs out of bounds or gets tackled for a short gain.. We need a WR/PR or CB/PR that could give us a decent run back if you work with a shorter field odds are you will control the game..
