who plays first game at new stadium

    who plays the first game at the new stadium. I think its crucial that we open the stadium to show that its every bit ours as the damn giants... does anyone know?

    I don't think it's been decided yet, but considering our pretty good run we SHOULD have a better shot at opening it.

    More important for the Jets to play the last game there next season IMO.

    I'll say it again: I want to play home, week 1, vs the Pats. Plus I'd like it to be the Sunday night game. It would be an awesome way to open the stadium, and we would win that game.

    Hofstra Lax opens up the stadium April 10th.

    On the subject of who opens, who cares really. We have nothing to prove to people, we are the Jets, and that stadium is half ours, and half theirs. I woud much rather play the last game of the season there, the AFC Champ game. I would say Giants open it up to start regular season.. they prolly will play dallas.. We host first preseason game, as a conselation.

    WE will get the preseason game vs the Giants. We were "away" last season.

    i meant we will host the first preseason game of the preseason. I know that we ost the giants preseason game. I would say preseason week 1 we are home.

    I'm guessing Eli-Romo then. For some reason NBC loves Jerry Jones, and they opened Dallas' stadium last season vs. the Giants.

    losing in the afc championship game makes us a pretty likely contender to have a sunday or monday night game in week 1. First primetime game in the stadium sounds pretty good to me.

    Honestly, I think the league is really f***ing up with this. Whichever team doesn't get to open the stadium is going to get a huge outcry from fans. The only solution would have been a Jets/Giants game to open it, or to (if even possible) have one game at 1:00, then another at night.

    Why do I have a feeling we're going to get f***ed over on this...
