This year was a surprise. Most people in the media gave us 6 or 7 wins, and even the homeriest of homers wouldn't have predicted an AFC Championship Game appearance. Darrelle Revis became the best defensive player in the NFL, Shonn Greene probably earned himself the starting job next year through flat out nasty play in the playoffs, and Mark Sanchez, despite his struggles, looked like a future Pro Bowler, especially in the playoffs. Sure, this year ended earlier than we all would've hoped, but the future looks bright for the Jets. I fhink this team can go even farther next year, if we can just add a legitimate #2 CB and get Leon Washington and Kris Jenkins healthy. A pass rushing OLB would just be gravy. So, let's put your money where your mouth is: how will the Jets perform in 2010?
Id be SHOCKED if the Jets dont win the AFC east. Especially since odds are Wes Welker will be out for the entire season.
Barring injury, of course, I see them improving vastly next year. WR depth must be addressed, and it would be nice if we could somehow obtain a speed rusher. Address these issues, and I see a very successful season.
I have a bigger worry that we start to get our shit together next year, then there is a lockout in 2011, and the team starts to fall to pieces.
Key thing is to be positive despite the disappointing 2nd half v Indy. 11-5 season next year, another play off run and maybe finally a Superbowl. GO JETS and make us proud once again!! :jets::jets::up:
I honestly believe if Shotty is our OC next year (which he will be) this team will regress and not make the playoffs. Then after he is fired, our team will take control of the division from the Pats. Of course we will not make the SB becuase it just isn't going to happen in my lifetime. And No, I am not blaming today's loss on him
I have no idea what happens next season. Tell me who will be healthy and how we patch our holes with just a few draft picks and UDFA's and I'll tell you how we finish.
