I really don't see why this is such a big surprise. If you can't win yourself, surely you want your division to win. Logically, it only makes sense - at least you have bragging rights that you live in the toughest division. Brothers fight brothers, until we fight cousins.
Grogans Ghost is funny because we've had posters troll as "Grogan." I hope I'm not the only thinking this is funny. Its an inside joke.
Well, I'm sure I'm not he. I'm a native Massachusian living in British Columbia, Canada. And I assure you, I won't be trolling. I respect other's playgrounds. Though I have to warn you, I may be challenging at times. And at times, challenged. Depends upon how many (way tooo strong) Canadian beers, this lightweight American gets a'hold of.
that's cool. But there was a poster named Grogan who gave you guys a horrible reputation. you being his ghost makes some sort of TGG inside joke. I find that most Pats fans are intelligent on TGG. You guys have the best representation out of all of the division rival fans on this board.
Well that's good to hear (that Pat fans aren't all dycks) Because, frankly, it's a game fercrissake. And if your team is talented (and let's face it, lucky) enough to get through it all, in the end it doesn't serve you well to denigrate your opponents, because the challenge of overcoming them, is what made you great. Any one can beat losers. OK... now I sound like an NFL Network promo...
Do I want my division to win? Yes. Do I root for my division rivals? No. I hate them. I hope the Patriots and Dolphins go 0-14-2 next year. But I do like the fact that the bully is in our division and we have to kill it. I like the Patriots because they help prove how tough the AFC East. So when the Patriots beat another AFC contender, sure, I know it makes the Jets and the AFC East as a whole look better. But I'm still rooting against the Pats throughout the game and would be glad they lost. Then again, if Buffalo were in the Super Bowl, I'd probably root for them. I just can't stand the Patriots and Dolphins. Kind of like how I gladly rooted for the Rays to prove AL East supremacy in baseball, but I root against the Red Sox.
you have to realize that as much as we hate the pats... the pats probably hate indy more than us, they have been more of an issue to them than we have over the past 8 years
DW you've been here along time so I appreciate the well wishes... I think the Jets knocking off the Colts really cements the Pats position as the franchise of the decade... yeah the Colts had more regular season wins but what counts are Lombardi Trophies. When we win that will be how many different teams that KO'd Manning out of the playoffs ...oh wait we already did that back in 02/03.
