For one play, Brad Smith would be ripe to be the "X-factor".

The Jets have run the option to Brad Smith for the three past weeks, with the past two failing miserably. Teams, and surely the Colts, have realized that as soon as Smith is behind center, the Jets are going to run the ball, and the defense (and DB's especially) react accordingly.

I think if the Jets and Schotty really want to get the most bang for the buck out of the Smith option play this week, they should have him roll out as he usually does - BUT this time actually give him the option of throwing the ball downfield. He was a QB at Missouri, so he has the skill to do so.

If Brad Smith has been behind center for 20 plays over the past two years, I'd say he ran or handed off at least 18 of those times (I could be way off base, but at least that's what it seems). Him actually getting set to throw this weekend would shock the Colts as much as it would us here.

agreed, this is the week to unleash the throw with brad smith. Screw it, have him bomb one to david Clowney!

they should set it up in the I-formation like last weeks option and just have T-rich step up and block with greene the dump off man in the flat...

I'd like to say Braylon Edwards is the X-factor for every game

But really, this is a guy that was one of the top receivers in the league a couple of years ago (scoring 16 TDs). Braylon can break this one open if need be.

Yes, without a doubt... he will see it just fine from the sideline.

Agreed, At the end of last year with the Ravens, he always seemed near the ball...he needs to be on Sunday and if he is..that could win this one for us

Braylon is the X factor for me. He can take over any game when he believes it.

Steve Weatherford. I gotta feeling special teams and field position will be huge and he has a big game
