This is what worries the most:

The Colts have had 3 defensive pass interference calls against them the whole year the WHOLE YEAR!!!!!. If you saw the Ravens game last week, they got every call from the refs, some real questionable ones. Bill Polian is this decades Don Shula who back in the 70's and 80's got every call and basically ran the league. That's my biggest worry on Sunday, the league wants Manning vs. Favre and this SOB Polian has the refs intimidated.

If I were the NFL my preference would be Saints vs. Colts (two premier QB's that should be around for another 3-5 years)

    or

Jets Vikes (old vs. new QB/Favre vs. his replacement)

Please make sure you advise the NFL directly of your concerns

What are the refs supposed to do? Call phantom PI calls on the Colts just to make up for the Ravens PI calls? Did you even watch the game. The Ravens were the most penalized team in the league and when you throw as often as the Colts do, it is bound to happen that the other team interferes with you.

I mean 3 pass interference calls ALL YEAR means two things:

    1) The Colts are extremely disciplined
    2) The refs are giving it to the Colts

    I lean towards # 1.

How many have the Jets had against them this year? Also, how about illegal contact penalties as these seem to be much more prevalent this year

It sounds like you are already trying to rationalize a Jets lost.

The Colts are one of the most disciplined teams in football. It's one of the reasons why they beat so many teams in the 4th quarter. When teams like the Texans and Ravens were committing stupid emotional penalties (removing helmets, late hits) the Colts stayed calm and collected.

It shows off the field as well. Look at how the players and coaches have responded to baiting from the media. Don"t you think the players want to destroy the Jets? Their coaches pulled them from perfection in a very winnable game. The national media has jumped on the Jets bandwagon. ESPN keeps talking about how the last game was close but then completely ignores how 7 starters didn't even suit up. And top it all off they have to listen to a Jets coach say he would be "shocked" if his team didn't win and Jet players who refuse to acknowledge that the Colts gave them the game (and thus kept their playoff hopes alive).

And still they remain classy and poised. They don't talk smack. They don't take the bait.

    This is a disciplined team.

Anyway, who cares that they've only had 3 PI calls? How important is the passing game going to be to the Jets anyway?

3 PI calls all year is ridiculous. Especially when you consider that in the same games you so much as BREATHE on Peyton's receivers and the flag goes out.

Look, refs are human. Penalize the Colts, the leagues' glamour team, and you know you're coming in for scrutiny. Penalize the Raiders and Al Davis, and you get a gift package delivered to your door.

You, "experts" have watched one game of the Colts. This too funny.

Remember as you (Jest Fans) have stated many, many times. The Colts can't stop the run, so teams may run more than they pass. Thus creating less opportunity for PI's.

Maybe they dont have PI calls against them, because, as you guys put it.They Suck! So maybe all the passes are being completed against the Colts, thus there are no PI calls.

Or maybe the Colts get a lead and force you to throw. Thus knowing that you have to throw to catch up, makes it easier on the defense when they know what is coming.

Or maybe, you are wantabe Pats fans who always say the Colts get all the calls. And now you are following their lead.

All I know is, the Colts won more games than anyone in a decade. Won 1 SB. So if a decade long conspiracy has happened - then so be it. You would figure if the Colts were the darling childs of the NFL, they would have conspired for them to win more than 1 SB. But, who am I. I know making sense is not what this board is about.

So now back to the favortism talk.

    Actually, I've watched 10 or 11, Sherlock.

No, because it's yards-per-carry that is the relevant metric, Sherlock.

Or maybe the NFL's glamour team really is the beneficiary of alot of PI calls that don't get reciprocated. I'm sure that there have been no roughing calls on PM that other QB's don't get, too.

I get it...the Colts are the Atlanta Braves of the NFL. We're thrilled. We won't mention their choke jobs against the Patriots or the Chargers -- with homefield advantage. Or Bill Pollian's meltdown on WFAN back in 2006.

Your jealousy is very unbecoming. Would have rather had the opportunity for failure, than to not experience it at all.

We know you are excited to be still watching football this late, something that you havent experienced in a couple decades. We get it. But to speak on the past "failures" of the Colts when you, yourself have never been in the conversation is simply moronic. When you win a game that matters, then call me. Until then Sherlock, go back to your Madden NFL and cheetos.

You, just like most of the Jest fans, ultimately realize that this game will get away from you fast and early. You also realize that there is not any conceivable outcome that has the Jest winning. So, now you will spend all off-season analyzing the draft, predicting dirty sanchez's rise to an elite qb. But, your ulitimate lack of knowledge of historical information, would make you understand that your chances at a prolonged period of excellence will be fruitless and that your time in the spot light will be short and unimpressive.

    Again thanks for playing.

guys simmer down. you have to give the Colts their respect. I believe they have had the most wins the past decade or something like that.

i know you guys want to win badly, but the Colts are not the team to talk about like that. Vikings would be more appropriate.

If the Colts are the Braves of the NFL, what are the Jets? We get that comment from Patriot fans and I can understand but....you guys are silly.

I have a have a hard time believing the Colts secondary is extremely disciplined.

They had 2 rookie CBs start at least 9 games this year.

On top of another guy who started 8~ games this year who only has one complete season.

Doesnt exactly sound like disciplined veterans to me

Interesting. Is there a site which lists PI calls for every team?

Colts have the 3rd highest pass ATTs against in the NFL. I'd like to see how other teams ranked in correlation to PAs.

I never ever trash talk. But this post is just pathetic. And you will be analyzing why you lost again (against us or in the SB) despite having the best qb in the history on the league. And then you'll see how next year your qb will be a year older and the rest of your average team will be worse and you will soon be back to the 5-11 era, where you actually belong.

Complaining about the refs a day before the game? This is embarassing to our forum.

anyone who thinks the nfl isnt happy as a pig in shit to have the jets playing in indi is nuts.

whether there were calls made one way or another can be debated but i would expect the nfl to want indi and minnesota in the superbowl. we can only wait and see what will happen and whether it will appear that there were missed calls.

thing is just like the nba guys get and dont get calls based on reputation very often. if the ref thinks he saw something with a big name player it doesnt get called. if he thinks he may have seen something with a scrub he makes the call more often than not.

Why would the NFL want to see any of the other small market contenders in the big dance when they have the opportunity to have the BIGGEST media market in the world in the SB?
