Im sorry but i dont no if dis is a stupid question or not but why wasnt johnathan vilma moved from inside linebacker to outside linebacker? I know his position he played well at was mlb in da 4 3 defense but wen we changed to the 3 4 defense he obviously didnt produce da same and didnt quite fit into the 3 4 ilb position. So with his excellent athletic ability why didnt he move to olb in da 3 4 defense where he culd rush the passer more an put that athetletic ability to use also since his speed culd be used more by playing on the da outside linebacker position an for numerous other reasons.. Please tell me what you think about bout vilma an him in da 3 4 defense moving from inside linebacker to outside linebacker. Please spare no detail, really wanna understand this.. thanks..
Yea i no he was undersized but rnt the outside liinebackers in the 3 4 defense normally smaller than inside linebackers of a 3 4 defense? Whats the average hieght and wieght of inside linebackers and outside linebackers in the 3 4 defense? also if anyone else has comments on my first question in dis thread plesse contribute.
No. 3-4 inside linebackers are best comparable to 4-3 LOLBs - that's the strong side, the big guy. 3-4 outside linebackers are more comparable to finesse RDEs.
