The video starts,directed right at him. that says to me that there was a "situation" with this guy before the camera even starts rolling.
The fact that they refused to let him take a breathalizer test makes me think something is up. I'm gonna claim to know the law in this situation but they used "suspcted public intoxication" as the reason for the arrest yet they didn't attempt to verify? The article also stated that he cocked his fist and appeared aggresive yet I saw none of this in the video. I have a hard time imagining that a guy who was violent towards police would have people in the crowd sticking up for him... sounds like the cover up gets even bigger.

Once again, you are assuming a lot. Do you think the guy with the video was more interested in continuing to watch him instead of the game? If they thought he was drunk and disorderly why did they not give him a breathalyzer when he requested. I am also assuming here but think the odds are good that he did ask for a breathalyzer and did not receive one since I think the SDPD would have refuted this claim of his when he made it had it not been true.

IMO,STILL can't blame the cops as they were acting on a complaint,from a fellow off duty officer. Who knows what the complaint said. But,the off duty officer is an asshole,that is for sure.
Either way, they can't just take him away for no reason whatsoever. Usually you need some proof, if anything that off-duty cop should have to answer to someone for being such a bitch.
He resisted,that's enough. It may seem wrong now,but they can push someone into giving them a reason for cuffs. As it turns out now,he wasn't doing anything wrong. But as a cop,when you get a complaint from another cop,you have to assume someones doing something wrong. Off duty guy is a sore loser.
The cops still showed bad judgment in arresting him. It's nothing that couldn't have been talked out. I've seen stuff like this handled in a much better fashion in other stadiums/ballparks.
I think he was asked to come up and talk 1st,and declined. The resisted. He kind of set the tone. But after removing him,making the actual arrest was a waste of taxpayer money and time.
The guy was cheering for his team, it wasn't like he was sitting there cursing other people out, you have to figure all the chargers fans around him yelling "HE DIDNT DO ANYTHING" would have tipped them off about his behavior. He resisted because he felt he wasn't doing anything wrong, I would have done exactly what he did, I would have made it hard as hell for them to put cuffs on me, then I would have gone limp when they did and made them carry my fat ass out of there, fuck that.

I'm sorry, but I just don't believe the police officers. The guy looked sober to me and he even said "What are you doing" So many times. He had his head up and was able to speak clearly. If he was wasted, he wouldn't be speaking cleaerly and his wife or girlfriend would have tried to calm him down or keep him still in his seat. They are still trying to cover their own asses and it's pathetic. I'm sorry they screwed up big time and they should get sued.
