Wonderful! Yet another CB and TE! Guess you can never have too many of those when you're the Jets. I probably shouldn't beat up the organization for this, they may just become practice squad guys, but jeez, how many do we need to sign?
Compare it to this: they have 16 people who played linebacker regularly last year, whether it be collegiate or NFL level. 4 of those 16 also played DE, and there is also Bryan Thomas speculated as a linebacker, making 17.
Do you not pay attention to the Pats at all? Our team will probably have a handful of TE's and DB's. Depth, depth, depth. The point is not everyone is staying, and it's a good way to maybe uncover a guy or just motivate and get the best out of current players already on the roster. People are acting like all these UFA's are going to be on the team. Every team does this every year for the most part. They beef up their rosters to anywhere from 70-100 players usually for the beginning of the offseason, then dwindle it down week by week until the last mandatory roster cuts have to be made, and then a few are signed to the PS.
that's where you are wrong, these guys were all signed to fill out the active roster after we trade Chad and Dewayne for Nate Clements.
I think he's a 96. But since Chad's passing cone is rather big and he's a 90 you can build around him.
