So Tebow likes to pull his pants down in front of rooms crowded with sweaty, muscular men? Wouldn't that actually make him a "Brady kind of guy"?

Tebow is a talented and smart athlete. He didn't play in a pro system and his mechanics aren't that great...but he's strong as hell for his size with decent speed. He will be something in the NFL, maybe not a QB but something and I think he will excel at it. It could be a FB or a TE or even a RB. Seriously, the kid lifted with the lineman until Urban Meyer told him to stop. And he's cerebral enough to understand the game, along with being a winner.

He won't be drafted in the first round unless he has an amazing combine and workouts (which some of his numbers i believe will be very good) at the QB position

I go to the university of florida, so i've seen him alot on and off the field. and no, he's not a bad guy or some type of super saint extreme. he's a normal guy, trust me the dude gets his

You don't use a first rounder on a backup.

I agree with Mr. E. Why does everyone think he will play qb? He would obviously play the h-back or be used in the Wildcat. He wont be playing qb anytime soon. It still would be bad pick with their defense being so awful, but dont think they would use him as qb.

He might well be the best SS in the draft?

Bellicheck would find a role for him as an H-Back and short yardage guy. luckily i scrolled down a little more cause I was about to tell everyone how fucking crazy they are.

I dont believe he can be a NFL Franchise QB but hes the best damn athlete I've seen in a while.

In fact him going to the Pats is one of the few teams that makes the most sense.

As a Noles/Jets fan I dont think I would be able to hate anyone more. literally.

FWIW, I always thought of Tebow as a slower, less athletic Vince Young (not an insult, as Young was a phenomenal college QB).

I really see a team trying him at QB. I guess his other option could be TE. I don't think he's fast enough to be a WR.

Looking at other full-time college QBs turned WRs (Randle-El, Brad Smith, Matt Jones), I don't see a ton of similarities to Tebow. He is certainly slower than all 3 of them. He is also bigger and stronger than all 3 of them.

Right now, my gut feeling is that he'll be drafted as a QB by a team hoping he becomes a Vince Young-type pro. OR he'll be taken as a Brad Smith-type (albeit slower) hybrid of QB/TE/short-yardage back.

I don't see him getting drafted as a FB, HB, or WR. I'd actually see him as a LB before I saw him as a half-back. It'll be an interesting combine.

the one thing you forget....vince young is a moron and really knew nothing about football. still not the smartest guy but knows enough about football and his role to play well now. he's a great athlete moreso than anything

tebow's actually pretty intelligent and his football IQ is considerably higher.

i can see where you might draw certain similarities as far as their games not exactly translating to the NFL level despite being dominant in college and having alot of physical skills, but mentally they are very different

Seeing Vince Young transform throughout his college career and now into a successful pro has really been a sight to behold. When he first started playing QB for the Longhorns he literally didn't understand the offense; just a few years later he won the national championship with one of the best college performances ever. I don't care how badly he scored on the wonderlic, you can teach that man football.

As for Tebow, he's destined to be either a color commentator. Great athlete, outstanding human being, one of the best college players in history, but I just don't buy him as a big contributor in the NFL. He certainly won't play QB, and I think that people are underestimating how hard it is to switch positions at the highest level. Even for someone as good as Tebow.

The patsies draft solid players, not Tebow types. The way I see it is Tebow is like that $20 scratch-off lotto ticket. It looks really nice and shiny and the upside could be so good, but you know after buying it you'll probably end up terribly disappointed when you lose. The Raiders, or Al Davis in particular, love these expensive lotto tix.

What if Al Davis drafts him? After all I'm guessing he runs a mean 40 to be a QB :p

I can't imagine a worse fit between one player and a fanbase.

    Wow.

Well, I meant to start off one's career. The primary reason we hate Taylor is that he's a Dolphin. After that, his personality.

Watch them draft him and he becomes the next Tom Brady because Tebow finally learns not to take 10 seconds to release the football.

I think it's funny that all you guys are writing him off already. People are dying to see this kid fail.

Tim Tebow is not a passer, he's a quarterback...and there is a difference.

He'll be a glorified gadget player for at least 3 seasons, and whoever drafts him, is going to get a hell of a football player. This kid has the ability to be one of the most dangerous red zone players ever. He's an extremely valuable player, because he'll offer his team so much versatility.

Tebow's not going to come into this league and become a franchise signal caller. That's just not going to happen. However, he can come into this league and contribute right away as a package player and a short yardage back.
