I am a Jets lifer, and as one, I HATE the Pats, but that doesn't mean that I don't respect players who are good at their job, and Tedy Bruschi was most certainly that. It is a shame that his career was ended early. Bruschi is a smart and accomplished player who has actually played BOTH of these teams. Almost every Pats fan I know, myself included, is pulling for the Jets this weekend. I lost a ton of respect for the Colts' organization after they peed on the chance to make history. They don't deserve to go any further than they have. On the flip side, the Jets have earned a lot of respect, IMO, doing what they've done in the playoffs. We all have our teams, but if you're just a football fan in general, you can't help but like what they've done.
This is actually what I liked most about his segment. There really is some deal of resemblance in what they did then and what we're doing now. Go Jets indeed.
Most Pats fans want to see the Jets win. Most of our beef was with Mangina, not the players or the current coaches. Plus the Jets are a big dog that remind us of the '01 Pats. Plus I like their throwback style of play, like the old Giants. Plus the Colts, especially their pious fans and ahole GM, need a good whuppin'.
