love him hate him like him again? Let me say that I was a huge kerry rhodes fan several years ago and thought he was one of the best versatile and underrated safeties in the league. Just ask anyone who played me in madden and they'll tell you they had nightmares of kerry rhodes Then we saw the primadonna bullshit he was talking about this year, all while he's missing tacklings and coverages and not making plays. I couldn't believe the amount of doucheyness that was coming out of his mouth when he would talk. Guy's head was in the fuckin clouds I still think he's a pretty big douche, but he's been humbled a bit and the guy has responded since he was benched for the most part. I can't tell you the amount of joy when i saw that free release blitz on rivers and when he played the onside kick perfectly. if he keeps playing like this and can stay focused, i can deal with his mr hollywood bullshit. it's too bad though because he wasn't like that until he got paid. he was the late round pick trying to get a starting job
Ive always loved em. I would NEVER consider trading him though. Braylon Edwards and Revis are all close with Rhodes. And you do not want to upset the Revis
No. He's still can't tackle in the open field. He's still a fuckin pretty boy. He has been playing better since the benching though.
On that fumble he forced he ran straight towards the sideline to celebrate, even when the ball was on the ground and he could have got to it.
He's doing enough to not get benched. That's about all I can say about him right now. I will not be sad to see him leave.
I just saw the replay. You're right. If he pulled a Jim Leonhard and whipped around to fight for it he would have. But he's not as good as Jim Leonhard now is he?
He's playing better but I still don't like him. He's in the media this week talking about himself and Ed Reed. I'm all for letting him go if we can find a suitable replacement. I like Smith, but I'd rather keep him in the same role he is now, instead of a full time starter
Exactly. And when this happened, I had my answer to the OP's question, because I was seething. He's my least favorite. I really loathe him. In fact I have trouble even rooting for him to make plays, and that scares me. I want him gone ASAP.
I watched that play a bunch of times, actually, getting angrier and angrier, more and more convinced that the football was there for the taking if he wasn't such a self-loving assjoy. GOD he infuriates me. He also said something after the game that made me want to puke. Something like, "Well, we were struggling, but then we started using our best guys in better situations. Revis on Jackson, me on Gates..." No, you aren't one of our best guys, Kerry. I would take little Jimmy over you eight days a week. And to put yourself in the same BREATH as Revis??? Shut up.
I really can't stand the guy and if he died tomomrrow I wouldn't shed a tear. That being said, he's our best option for the next 2 games. I hope that he plays at an "Ed Reed Level" for the next 2 games so that we can unload his ass for a 2nd rounder during the offseason.
I'll become a fan again if he makes enough impact plays that help bring home the Lombardi Trophy......
He's playing at a high level right but now but let's face it the only thing he cares about is himself. It would be to difficult to move him this off season considering they would have to replace him. Just once i want to see him make a play and not look at the sideline with that stupid pose.
he has been making plays for the first time in a long time so he is on probation in my book. i think he should be brought back next year but that could change at any time based on how he handles himself.
Well I haven't changed my avatar since he was here and i don't plan to anytime soon. That being said I did get down on him the last few years and while he's playing well now he might need to go after this year. I just hope his replacement will be an upgrade. It's funny how the folks that bash on him now will probably say they miss him next season when his replacement isn't getting the job done.
