Winning 11 in a row against any combination of NFL teams is very difficult. That alone makes it hard to over rate them. By definition, they are a very formidable and dangerous team.

Just because they will not win 12 in a row does not change that.

Really, did you read any of the points disagreeing with him? Pretty much we agree they are not overrated so your point is weak. You should have said " because some Jets fans need something to make themselves feel better"

Do people seriously think the Chargers are overrated?? They have won 11 games in a row. How are they not a really good team????? Can the Jets beat them?? OF COURSE they can. But why are we knocking the Chargers?

Struggling to understand it? You're being too kind. There's no chance that's even a meaningful, coherent thought.

The question isn't are the Chargers over rated, the question is are the Jets being under rated?

The Chargers are clearly in the same class as the Colts a good notch above the rest of the AFC pack. The real question is have the Jets improved so much during the year that we are now a powerhouse team with the talent and full understanding of the coaching staff of how to apply that talent to beat another elite team.

Luck always plays a big part in these games but the fact is we are either good enough or we aren't. This over rated stuff doesn't really matter. Were playing them.

The only thing the playoffs have shown so far is that the Pats are very over rated.

Great post. I think we'll find out alot about how good we really are on Sunday. The bottom line is, if we can compete with the Chargers, we can compete with anyone.

No, I don't think you are. They were able to move the ball well against our defense in the first half, until Rex changed the coverage back to man. Our defense and running game is just that good, and Sanchez is getting more comfortable in his role as an NFL QB each week.

The Chargers are not overrated. Their talent is very visible, they just can't seem to finish, and that falls on the coach.

Philip Rivers. Two horrible plays in a row during crunch time:
    1) Throwing a jump ball to Revis - predictable outcome
    2) Ridiculous interception deep in his own territory.

Seriously? This guy is quickly becoming the worst poster on this board. Overrated because they finally lost a game? Wow.

No. We were just the better team yesterday.

I'm really getting sick and tired of these "Told ya so!!!" threads.

Well, that makes you look like even more of a moron. You thought they were overrated after that 11 game win streak? Because of 3 wins against playoff teams? Wow.

Guess what? They lost yesterday, and they STILL weren't overrated. They were a dominant team this season who met a team that matched up well with them and they contributed to their own demise by playing a poor game both mentally and physically.
