There are three calls that Rex should make first thing tomorrow morning. The first one should be to Bill Belichick who as much of an AH that he is, is the one guy that has had good success against Payton Manning. Rex should compliment him by making that call and then pick his brain. Why you ask would BB want to help us. Well he hates Mangini for exposing him more than he hates the Jets and how much satisfaction would he get if the year after Mangini got canned the Jets went to the Super Bowl. The second and third call should be to two other AH's who had success against Manning, Rodney Harrison and Ty Law. If Rex picks their brains and incorporates some of those thoughts with his mind, we should be able to develop a pretty awesome game plan.
Belijerk has no answer for Manning anymore he could offer nothing other than "try to videotape their defensive signals" The Jaguars play us tougher than anyone... that is who that call should go to imo.
Everyone thinks that's the solution... Blitz him. I've watched every game he has played as a pro. I hope you do blitz him You'd be better off dropping backers into coverage and taking away the flat. Blitzing just does not work the line either picks it up or he hits the hot read. Will your D cause the Colt O problems? sure and it will be a battle but blitzes aren't a sure bet to stop them. I am sure it is going to be a heck of a game and definately one I am worried about.
Chargers and Saints fans were rubbing it in our faces all week how godly Brees and Rivers are against the blitz, so keep it coming.
In case you don't know, we blitz. Alot!! It's been a part of what has gotten us here this far and will continue until someone is able to beat it consistently.
Why would Belichick help Rex? He has his draft board to work on. His phones will be too busy anyway with all of his hitmen.

He could just call Bill Cowher or Dick LeBeau. They held Manning to a TD and a FG, plus a gift TD on a drive after Troy Polamalu's Pick was called back incorrectly.
