The SOJ lose that game 29 out of 30 times. Either we got that 1 time, or the SOJ are dead. I think they are dead
I don't think the SOJ could be ever be dead. If they lose next week by a touchdown in a clean game, maybe. But if they lose by 1 point after giving Peyton "Sony HD" Manning the ball back with 90 seconds left they are alive and well.
I don't want blow your mind or anything, but the reason the concept, the words, the phrase is not dead is because you continually ask that stupid question. We're the only team that consistently considers a question whether we are permanent losers or not every year. The correct question isn't is IT dead, it's whether you're going to stop saying it.
Same old Jets are dead As a lifelong member of the Darksiders, I wanted to point out something I discovered on Sunday. As soon they showed Rex on the sideline when it was 4th and 1, and he said, with all the conviction in the world "We're fucking going for it" I knew that win or lose the Same old Jets were dead. Herm would have kicked the FG, SD would have gotten the ball back and scored on the Same Old Jets, same with Mangini. Kotite would have caused a fumble somehow Whatever happens tomorrow, happens, but it won't be because this is the "Same old Jets"
Agreed. Also somewhat off topic but not really. Something I love from Rex is that he has displayed the ability to make adjustments throughout the season and in game..Something we haven't seen from a coach in a LONG time.
gotta win it all, but i still agree rookie QB, HC young ass team.. even if we dont win the superbowl we accomplished alot of shit. This year for me I didn't expect much. I just wanted Mark Sanchez to get play time and experience, and getting into the playoffs is perfect. Let him get a feel for the playoffs his first year. damn thats a good taste he wont want to leave his mouth.
Agree totally! We are a young, aggressive , upward looking franchise. An owner who will spend his money , GM who is young with a great backroom staff and a HC who is an inspiration to his team Its our decade..may not be tomorrow but it will happen sooner rather than later!
Really good post. I haven't really thought about Rex's coaching in comparison to prior coaches with respect to the Same Old Jets. Thanks for pointing that out.
How true!! While watching the SD game when we were still down 3-7, I did not have that impending feeling of doom. I was just waiting to see what the team was going to do to get us a win instead of that "here we go again feeling"!!
Yeah, it's amazing what Ryan has done in one season, but until he's hoisting the Lombardi, it ain't dead.
i find it humorous that we have at least 3 of these threads every year. and then someone comes on at some point later and says SOJ all over again. the only thing making people stop saying soj is winning the superbowl.
