I'm in Manhattan today with my family, and we're thinking of catching the game at ESPN Zone. Anyone here catch games there? It'd be fun to meet someone there.
I watched the 49ers-Giants playoff game there a few years back. After that collapse, the place was ready for a communal ritualistic suicide. It's pretty good watching, most people will be fans, and there are TVs in the bathrooms. Food's shitty and overpriced, but it's like going to a nice bar.
the one in NY is bangin'. i'd definitely try to park my ass infront of those REALLLY nice monitors they have all over the place. great place to watch sports and be with friends and fam. they need to upgrade the arcade though.
Anytime I go to Orange County, I usually go to the ESPN Zone in downtown Disney at Disneyland. Its usually good times...
It's expensive and not that great. You're in Times Square surrounded by other hot restaurants like Red Lobster, Bubba Gump's, and Applebees. What do you expect?
Whenever I'm in Vegas I pass by and the wait is typically 2hrs or so on a college / NFL gameday. No thanks.
Have you been to the one in times square? I'm assuming you have, when was the last time.... When I went there (4 times in the 1st year that it was open) the food was VERY good. And what does it matter what other restaurants are around it
We watched a part of playoff game there last year (Giants maybe?) and it was packed and loud. I stood behind my wife at the 2nd floor bar waiting for a second seat to open up or for the hostess to call us for a table. After a while we left for the lounge across Broadway at the Marriott Marque. It was a much more relaxed and comfortable. FWIW, go early. Ther is another tread here dedicated to NYC bars to watch the game.
I've been a there a few times mainly for college games because I plan my trips around being at Jets games on Sundays but I can say the atmosphere is really great. Prices are a bit steep but the food is actually very good. I'm not sure if true Jets will be hitting this joint because there is a lot of great bars around Manhattan but the atmosphere should be loud. Enjoy!
ESPN Zone is fuckin bullshit. They make you pay for 20 dollars of food per hour of gametime, so it comes out to like 60-80 bucks per person.
A Chargers fan proving links for Jets fans on where to catch Jets game in NYC on a Jets board? :breakdance: forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=53047 It's the least I can do considering the absolutely crushing defeat that you boys will experience in less then 24 hours. Tootles
The only crushing defeat they'll face is the realization that there will be too much pussy around them when they win to satisfy all the ladies. Some girls will go home empty handed. It's expected when our starting QB is also the star of the HBO series Entourage.
The one in Vegas sucks... it's overpriced (then again everything on the strip is) but the games which were cool 10 years ago are lacking. Top Skater? That game was awesome when I was in high school in the 90's. Actually the bowling is pretty cool and can never get enough of the QB Challenge when I have friends in town. Usually when I go to a fight at the MGM I'll park at NY NY and grab some Nathans. Sometimes on the way out we'll stop by the ESPN Zone and play some of that basketball game with the moving backboard and the loser buys beers.
Go down to 32nd street and 8th avenue, Brother Jimmys. Awesome place to watch the game. Great BBQ food and drink specials during the game. Avoid the Times Square tourist trap.
