Because like Al Davis, most fans only see a receivers speed and think he's good. They don;t factor in that his route running is god awful and that it tips his hand on the route to almost every CB that covers him.

Clowney is fast, but until he learns to run something other than a fly route he is going to be a very decent special teams guy.

Clowney isn't a tall receiver but yes I have to agree he does have talent.

If we need to goto cloweny that means the jets are in trouble. We need stone hands edwards to catch the ball

Clowney only had 14 receptions all year and I believe was benched a couple of games at the end of the season. Why even have this discussion?

Maybe he will become the best pre and post-season wide reciever New York has ever seen.

i'd like to see the clown and all his speed:

1- take a reverse, maybe from brad smith in the wild cat

2- again wite the wild cat, have the clown run down hill and have brad toss him the rock deep. the wildcat would bring the db's up and disctract them enough for the clown to run by them. 50yrd bomb from brad to the clown would wake us all up!

3- the clown is kinda a smallish, but fast receiver. i'm not the first here to suggest possibly develop him for the slot receiver.

Clowney hasn't really done anything all season, I say we don't worry about forcing people the ball because their on the team, just give the ball to our playmakers (Jones, Greene, Keller, Cotch). Lets not try and get fancy all the sudden, when we try that, we make mistakes and lose the game. GROUND AND POUND

I wont consider him a playmaker until he makes a big play in a big spot, he consistently shows that he cant make the catch when it matters. Hopefully tomorrow he can convince me otherwise
