um. yea. we're going to do all the research for you for free. sure. let's just say the Jets did very well against the Colts and Saints as a defense. If you really want to know, go look it up.
The Ravens, Steelers and Donkeys had the opportunity to play the Chargers while they were trying to figure out how to compensate for the loss of their starting center, right guard, NT and two other DLmen. Rivera was going nuts because guys were trying too hard and overrunning their assignments. That's been corrected. And, BTW, Norv got too cute with that silly Sproles run up the middle that RayRay snuffed. Ray is all world though. I'm not sure you have a LB'er with his experience. There is one play that makes the Chargers 14-2 if it worked, so we can all say 'what if' and we're better... And I only somewhat agree about Sanchez. If the Chargers get up by 10 or more, Sanchez is going to have to save the key. If the game is kept close the whole way, it'll be about your run game and defense keeping the Chargers off the field. But yeah, I guess Sanchez will have to complete 12 passes again too.
Peyton Manning 14/21 192 yards Austin Collie 6 catches 94 yards Joseph Addai 6 carries 40 yards Pierre Thomas 19 carries 86 yards
WRONG WRONG WRONG. The chargers Oline has like 6 pro bowls between them. Kris Dielman, Marcus Mcneil and Nick Hardwick are all among the best at their positions. The thing was Hardwick was out until around week 11 and worked his way back to play the last couple games. Dielman and Hardwick both went in and out the lineup with injuries. But guess what? All of them are back now and it has showed in the chargers last few games they were running the ball much better and are healthy for the playoffs. The Chargers line is FAR from average.
Rivers yards vs. Ravens - 436. Points - 26 Rivers yards vs. Steelers - 260. Points - 28 I'm afraid that is very wrong, Rivers has been an outstanding QB against every D we have played this year. We lost to the Steelers because our team was in a complete mess from suffering severe injuries to 4 starters and our D ranked somewhere around 27th. We lost to the Ravens because of probably the worst play call I've ever witnessed. You are 4th and 2 with one of the best QBs and recieving corps in the business, and you hand off to your smallest back. Unbelieveable. We didn't lose to those teams because Rivers couldn't beat their D's. We lost because of our very poor D.
Erm...What? You have completely missed my point. Our very good O played very well against their very good D's. Their good O played very well against our awful D.
Two things: can you stop the Wildcat, and have you faced a punishing RB like our Rookie Green, who has just come into his own the past few games?
I believe we have faced the wildcat in only the Miami game and we did stop it. But Brad Smith is scary. And we have faced rushing attacks as good as yours, but no D as good as yours.
I wouldn't exactly be praising the Steelers' passing defense this season. At #16 overall, they are literally in the middle of the pack. The plan is going to need to involve as many blitz packages as Ryan can draw up. I would expect to see Jim Leonhard rushing into the backfield on just about every nickle formation we run and we are going to have to send a lot of guys up the A-gap. San Diego delenda est.
