The offsides penalty was his x-mas gift as he clearly fumbled. Fortunately it was called back. my brother was at the game, and he didn't even know until I told him of the situation.
Just like against Cincy who hand the ball off to is having the most production. It's great to have a fresh RB come in for almost every play, that's has to burnout the defense.
TJ is the sure handed vet so he is the "starter" Greene spells for TJ. TJ is injured so why put undo stress on TJ's knee with a fresh power back on the sidelines. Give TJ the rest, let him get a couple short yardage plays in and keep him fresh. That was basically the game plan for Cincy. If TJ isn't at 100% I'm sure greene will again have more carries. However, his vet status, lack of lost balls, and experience trump Greene's abilities for the moment. Danny WoodCOCK can always be the change of pace back - something SD isn't really planning to defend so that would be a nice wrinkle.
i think its too premature...just remember LaMont Jordan...I'm not saying he will be a Lamont type but its something to consider
Jones had a brace on last game he was probably hurt. I say play whoever is hot during the game, and bring TJ in for the touchdowns/short yard gains(3 & 1)
unless last weeks plan stops working, if it ain't broke.... seriously, TJ is sure handed, and SG is a freakin' beast. hit em with the vet, get em softened. hit em with the monster, get em dead. finish up with the guy who won't lose the ball.
