From Belichick’s postgame press conference yesterday: What did you see happen on the long run at the beginning of the game? Belichick: “We obviously just didn’t do a good job.” On Brady’s interceptions? Belichick: “Look, we made too many mistakes in the game to win and that’s obvious.” Can you talk about Tom Brady? Was he completely healthy? Belichick: “We just didn’t do well as a team in any area.” Have you ever been more disappointed? Belichick: “Any time you lose, it’s disappointing.” Were there any indications, practice-wise, that this didn’t feel like you were ready? Belichick: “No, we obviously didn’t play well.” Where do you guys go from here? Belichick: “Well, our season is over.”
If I could punch a hole through Bill Bellichick’s head, with my fist exiting the back of his skull and making lethal contact with Joe Bucks face – that would be an awesome day.
my dream of watching Belichick slipping on a banana peel and hitting his head on the podium is still alive.....but that press conference is a close 2nd.
I know you guys all hate him, and that's your prerogative. He is a sore ass when he loses for certain! He didn't have a great year coaching this team and it was a disappointing season at the end.... ...but I love that he looks like his dog got run over after games like that, and has a hard time talking. It shows just how much he hates to lose. I don't want the coach of the team I root for to be a good loser. That said, good luck to the Jets and to you guys on here. The big mo- is on your side and I think you have a good shot to win at least another game, and then anything can happen! I didn't want to start a congrats thread like some of the other folks who root for other teams did, because it seems phoney, and like you want a pat in the back, when I know you guys could care less about what Phins, Bills, or Pats fans think.... So I threw it in here, with an opinion I know you guys will hate! Good luck.
I'll have to say, if I lost like that I'd react the same way. What's the point of answering the same question 20 different ways. They suck, they rolled over basically. How many ways can you say that? I don't blame him.
Meh, there's no reason why you can't be a brilliant coach and great fierce competitor and still acquire social skills that exceed a scotch tape dispenser. The guy is just a prick, plain and simple, and its not just because we hate him, its the objective truth. The great thing is this has so alienated the local press that they're all falling over themselves to knife him in the back. that said, for a Pats fan, you're not really much of a dick, and I had a bunch of friends at that game, so I'm not going to piss on your grave more than necessary.
What a bunch of hypocrites! You would have loved having Belicheck and you know it....Liars. You were all ready to throw Rex Cryin to the dogs. HAH!
If Belichick was on fire, I wouldn't piss on him to put it out. He deserves every bad thing that happens to him football-wise.
I don't think you get it! Who cares if we would have liked him as a coach. I don't because of the way he acts is horrible. Take his Jets press conference where after getting 1 million dollars from the jets for one night as the coach he scribbled on a napkin "I Quit". Thats as classless as it gets. Why not wait and talk to the owners in private why put them in front of cameras then Quit. Since then he has never gotten any better, Cheating by taping hand signals from opponents (after being told to stop), being surly to the press and anyone else who happends to be around him. You see I am not bashing him as a coach but as a person. I know because he has won for you guys that you feel he can act anyway he feels but I don't agree, I think it represents you (as a fan of his) and your values because you are so gung ho to defend a man who has no class. It kindof makes you like him.
It's not a prerogative it's a forced choice after the way he left the team, who he went to and what he did with it. I liked Belichik a lot until that farce of a resignation at the podium in early 2000 and I have hated him ever since. It isn't a choice though, it's more of a visceral thing. Like the hatred I still feel for Don Shula after he followed Weeb into the AFC East and determined to make a chump out of him (successfully.)
I dont know anyone that wanted to run Rex out of NY. You're full of shit and clearly dilusional. Enjoy watching the playoffs...
The Globe and the Herald writers have already begun to carve him up. Contrast this to the sycophantic treatment he gets on WEEI. Fuck you Belly. Hope your ulcer is bleeding right now.
