    Whoa...

When is the last time LT ran against anyone for 100 yards?

October 26th, 2008 at New Orleans.

    And that is a fact.

I think we can hit some big plays on play action, like the one to Keller. A strong run game (which i expect to happen) should help to open it up for Sanchez.

    a few things...

Jets fans seem to be quick to point out that Mark Sanchez has played better the last several weeks, and cite that as evidence that he is ready to lead the team into the playoffs...

The same fans, are quick to dismiss that the Chargers defense has played much better in the last several weeks, and are better than their statistical ranking may suggest.

This is the Jets forum, and I know that "fan" is short for fanatic, but if you want to talk football... atleast apply the same logic and rational across the board when comparing both teams.

I think this will be a close game. I think the Jets have an amazing defense. That said, I think the Chargers simply present too many mismatches for the Jets to contend with. The Jets are a blitz happy defense, and Phillip Rivers is fantastic against the blitz. Having said all that, the other issue is that if this is a close game... The Chargers... this Chargers team... has more playoff experience, and Phillip has been one of the more clutch QB's this season while Sanchez has shown a propensity to get happy feet, and toss up picks.

Anything can happen, on any given sunday... that's why the games are played... that's just my $.02.

    respect.

Sanchez does not get happy feet. His picks are just poor decisions.

Sanchez isn't making as many mistakes. That's not the same as "leading them into the playoffs". He's still a rookie. The defense leads this team. If we lose, it'll be because of one of these things:

    1. Sanchez turned the ball over a lot.
    2. Special teams allowed too many big plays.
    3. Defense got killed.

So far #1 has cost us 5 games (NO, NE, BUF, ATL, JAX)
#2 has cost us a game (MIA second time)
#3 has cost us a game (MIA first time)

And the one game for #3 was a never-seen-before 4 RB wildcat running offense from MIA that won it for them, not a passing attack. The passing defense has never been the reason for a loss.

I'd prefer not having to. Look at what the ravens did to the Pats, Even SC joked asking if Joe Flacco was playing.

The Chargers are favored because they are supposed to win. On paper it looks like they are too explosive and too experienced for the Jets. It will be interesting to see what happens on the field.

    Moving on...
Sanchez had a great game in the air on Saturday and if the Jets can continue to run the ball like they have, they will be able to set up passing game for Sanchez in San Diego. Joseph, Ndukwe, Crocker, Hall>>> Jammer, Ellison, Weddle, Cromartie.

    San Diego delenda est.
