Wait... wouldn't that same knowledge and "inspiration" apply to the Chargers? Or are the Chargers going to be locked in a cell and not allowed to know the results of the Colts / Ravens game until after they play the Jets?
No need to wait for next Sunday I can tell you that you won't be hosting nay playing after next Sunday.
Yea but, Thunderstruck's got a good point. The Chargers are going to be wanting to host the conference game just as bad as the Jets. ???
Sure I think it would motivate them but I think it will have little to no impact on the outcome of the game, especially considering that the CHargers will be in the same boat, win and host the CHampionship game. I actually think the opposite result COULD have more impact on the outcome, that is if the Colts win. I'm not saying this is going to happen only that it could happen. This whole season seems to have been one long preview to the inevitable championship game between the Colts and Chargers. If the Colts win I could see the Chargers somewhat looking past the Jets. Either way, Lets go Ravens!
After the last two weeks of sub-20-degree weather, the Jets might prefer to go to Indianapolis and play in a dome, actually. As a fan who doesn't have tickets, I'd love this, for no reason other than to rub it in Giants' fans faces. They close out their stadium with an ugly loss that exposed an ugly team (see, for example, Osi Umenyora's comments postgame). We close it out by bringing the AFC championship game to town. What better way to end our tenure at Giants Stadium?
