that booth crew was pitiful. Only Joe Gibbs, who sounded a bit like Dick Clark had some insight into formations, etc. Thiesman = dick.
Same here. He's always been one of my favs. Yeah, what was with him toay? He sounded really off to me.
Ya, I always listen to the radio calls after a Jets game because I love Bob and Martys commentary. The Bengals crew was probably the worst and most biased I've ever heard. The color commentator was screaming 'GO GO' on Bensons run and Scott's kickoff to start the game. Its hilarious though when Graham misses the 2nd FG, they sound as if they're at a funeral. Thought that was great.
Both AFC games are on CBS, so we'll either get Nantz/Simms which isnt bad, or the dreadful Gumbel/DIERDORF. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
I have to agree... I don't think anyone ever realized that Brad Smith didn't actually throw the td pass to Keller. It was actually pretty hilarious. After the td during the replay showing Sanchez roll out and throw the td they were still talking about how Smith can throw very well because he was a college qb and threw for over 8000 yds.
Maybe they could have spent a little more time talking about how the Jets needed Jay Feeley to punt instead of calling the game.
Seth Everett on 1050 just now: "It was pretty clear to me that none of them had seen the Jets or the Bengals this season. I'll be honest, I had to put on Wischusen." I've been pretty up front about my feelings about Joe Theismann. As soon as I found out, I knew it would be painful to listen to. I was actually expecting worse.
...and here's the Times ripping them a new one. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01/10/sports/football/10sandomir.html?ref=football
