He probably will get a contract for the Jets because he still does alot for this offense. Only difference is, his drops will be highlighted as the reason he is getting half the $$$ he was expecting. He can be a big time player, but he refuses to hold on to the ball.... Lots of game left. Maybe he will make up for it...
i posted this in a thread earlier in the week.. listen we cannot afford to have a guy that drops passes like that in the playoffs... but he's here so lets see if he can make up for it and make some plays luckily for him we basically had a mulligan and scored on the next drive
He should be paid whatever the going rate is for a #30 WR in the NFL, because that's about what he is. Maybe about $3.5 M a year at most...which is still overpaying. He's worth maybe $2M at most.
Bingo... this isn't teh 1st one he's dropped this year. This one could be huge because if things went wrong it could end our season considering we didn't get any points on that drive.
....knew he was going to drop it, he is our version of TO (big talk-no action)....and he needs to the F%#K up and just catch the damn ball,
I still say we need to keep him. He keeps defenses honest and opens things up for other players. Plus he's a beast in the running game. Hopefully those drops lose him a few million though.
I can't wait to hear him bitching and moaning this offseason about how the Jet's aren't taking care of him in contract negotiations.
He's a great blocker but he has to get his head in the game. His concentration problems are unbelievable, especially considering how amazing his concentration was at Michigan.
