This guy just really gets right under my skin, everything he seems to do seems to have some kind of slant on it, be it political correctness, games being played overseas or some kind of knee jerk reaction (no pun).
    This is the latest Goodellism.....

Just watching the 'Boys annihilate the Eagles. Another complete BS call on an Eagles LB who happened to be unfortunate enough to brush the side of Romo's helmet with his hand and gets called for roughing the passer. I've hit flies that hard and they've still flown away. WTF is wrong with the people (Goodell & Co) who govern the way this game is played?!
I'm all for protecting the players, but this is still a dangerous contact sport that all the players realise and enter into the game knowing so.
Take the hit on Pat White, perfectly legitimate and nothing is called.....yet. What will be the call next season, you can only gently shove a QB OOB instead of tackling :shakes head:.
We had our own taste of a BS call last season against Eric Smith on Boldin, he got fined for hit which he could have done NOTHING about, yet there were far worse hits later on in the season that either got punished in the same way, or not at all , parity? There is none.

I really hope that Mr Goodell gets caught with his pants down in a Tiger-esque situation and resigns, wheres a QB when you need one.

QB running = free game, Taylor will be fined. Missed calls happen, god knows how many holding penalties aren't called every game. Video shows an angle where it looks like shoulder to helmet though it was helmet-to-helmet.
QB in the pocket = protected.
    Not seeing the big deal.

The bigger deal is the insane idea of offering teams incentives for playing their starters at the end of the season. Are you fuckin' kidding me?

Goodell is trash. First the stupid Rooney Rule, the expansion of NFL penalties, now this.

    Horrible.

Add shitting up the draft to the list of Goodell transgressions. I will forever resent him for ruining my favorite weekend of the year.

The Rooney Rule was instituted in 2003, when Paul Tagliabue was still Commissioner.

i HATE goodell and still feel he will ruin the league.

everything he does is absurd and has a slant to it. he is a power monger and a complete tool. he kinda reminds me of george bush.

however i can understand why there would be talk about the games at the end of the season. if they are going to let these cocksuckers charge 25k psls and 700 a game for tickets you better believe they want the games to mean something.

this douche wants EXTRA games but cant get em to play all the games they are already playing.

on top of that this league would be MUCH different if it wasnt for gambling, gamblers dont like to not know whats going on. bookies like it even less.

to TOP that off there are almost as many nerd boy dipshits worried about how their guys are going to do in fantasy football. there is money tied into this as well.

goodell does not want to annoy those people as without them the entire face of the league changes tremendously.

I hate the guy so much!!!! I think between Belichick and Goodell I'd throw the commish off the proverbial tower.

He is the biggest tool in the NFL and has no idea what this game is about. To him it's all about not offending people, protecting the QB and making money.

    GOD I HATE HIM!

He is so concerned about what the fans whine about, maybe if fans say they want him out he will step down? He does have grand desires for his National Footsy League.

They should schedule divison games for the last 2 weeks of the season. It wouldn't force teams to start their players, but it would keep fans interested - which is probably the driving force behind this most recent bout of Goodell stupidity.

I can't stand that they no longer schedule the Saturday games the last couple of weeks of the season. And I actually hate all of the night games that they schedule in Dec/Jan in the northern cities.

    amen to that GH.

The draft is now a circus. i'm not excited for it as much as i used to be.

A whole weekend of fun is now cut up into primetime bullshit which will saturate what it used to be about - the selection of players.

I wonder if there will be a musical performance before the Rams are on the clock.

it'll make it a cellphone watch for me. I have an iPhone - i'll wait for the picks to show up on there.

Its no longer a weekend of beer, food, and discussing picks. Its now one weeknight of the 1st round, and then the rest later on.

They took our cult following and raped our holiday. Instead of fortifying the niche the draft has built, they want it to be for everyone. Its such bullshit.

i don't like the new format in the least (thanks Goodell, fucking dicknose).....but, rather than let it destroy my draft festivities....i'll just take a vacation day on the Friday of the draft.

The thing that really makes me hate Goodell is his double standard on player conduct. When it gets him and the league some nice media coverage he's perfectly willing to go all Father Flanagan on us, but other transgressions go totally unnoticed/unpunished.
