Before anyone goes nuts here, I'm not talking about the game. I'm talking about with the media. If we lost last night everyone would have been saying, "same old Jets, get your hopes up just to lose a game they should have won." If we just barely won the game, people would say "just barely beat a team that had nothing to play for, what a disgrace." Instead we destroy a team, in a game we CLEARLY should have won (We had everything to play for and they had nothing to play for.) Now I have to hear idiots say, "I can't wait for the Jets to lose in the playoffs, their fans think they have the best team in the nfl because they won 2 games against teams that had nothing to play for and benched their starters." I could care less how we got in the playoffs, we are in PERIOD. So what we dare to dream, why can't we? I could care less if this is are year, I just want it to be our month. 1 Hot month, 3 great games and we go to the biggest dance of all. I'm 33 years old and have had my balls broke to no end. I have had season tickets for 22 years and put 1k earlier this year toward my 5k psl. I wanted to surrender my 1k like in blackjack after the Atlanta game. But that is just what being a Jets fan is, get your hopes up just to get knocked down. We are now in a 12 team tournament that all of your success or in our case "lack their of" means zero. Get hot Jets and give the world a reason to hate me as a Jets fan.

They said the same thing about the Cardinals last year, getting in by winning a shit division at 9 - 7. Whether we win or lose in the playoffs, the opinion of the media means jack shit.

who cares? Maybe its just me but has anyone else gotten into arguments over people shitting on the Jets when you were growing up? I'm not talking about the media, I'm talking about anyone who isn't a Jets fan. We are the team that everyone loves to hate. Why? Take teams like Detroit, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Arizona. These teams haven't won anything in forever and nobody cares about them. People love to hate us.
Well, Cincy and Arizona have both won their conferences more recently than we've won ours. Of course we get into arguments with people who shit on the Jets. The problem is, they're generally right, and our team generally falls apart. It's a much safer bet for the media to assume the Jets are going to fail. My point was that it was the same exact approach they took to the Cardinals last season before history changed.
i don't...let people hate us...as long as we are in the playoffs and handling business i couldn't care less what people say....it really doesn't bother me...let the team's play do the talking and the rest will come...if anything i like it bc it gives the jets tons of bulletin board material
Jets would probably have to get to the AFC Championship to get any respect from the media, they love to hate on the Jets........
We also lose when they pick us to win. There should be hate coming in our direction. We never do what we are supposed to.....
Jet fans need to stop giving a shit what others think about us. This should be merged with the fat boy thread. Rooting for this team since '82, with the ups and the many downs, I have no problem tuning out the media since most of them have never played an organized sport in their lives and their opinions mean as much as any guy you'll talk to in this forum or on the street.
Fuck 'em. Part of the reason I love this team is because of our underdog status, though underdog isn't quite the right word. Getting treated like second class citizens will only make success taste that much sweeter. One thing the Jets have never been is boring. You'd think the media would love us.
Forget the media....the line opened with Cinci as a 2.5-3 point favorite. Vegas knows more than the media does. If it were a home game, the Jets would be giving points. Vegas knows who this team is.
