Yeah, the only way we make the playoffs is beating Cincy next week and that means we play them again the next week because we will be #5 and they will be #4 regardless of the pats outcome.
i really didn't want a night game...cold weather, windy, maybe some weather -- all not good for sanchez .. move it back 7 hours and all those factors just get worse. Plus I have a baby arriving Wednesday and really don't want to lose sleep Sunday night lol
Another selling point for this game being a SNF is because this is the official FINAL In-Season game at the Meadowlands and NBC could spend some time breaking down the history of this stadium which they'd like to do I bet.
Just announced it on NBC, it will be the Jets. Sucks because now I have to watch the Giants instead of Cowboys/Eagles for the division.
This could do one of two things for how the Begals play this game. If the Pats win the Bengals will have nothing to gain by beating us. They can gain no higher seeding or extra home games. It also gives them less time to start preparing for thier opponent (whereas if we win they will have 2 weeks to prepare for us and vice versa as well)
Rich that is the one positive I say about this also. If the Pats one it will really adjust how the Bengals play. They are a physical running team like us and I don't think they want Benson to have to take a lot of hits from our D in a meaningless game. Also if we do win I like how we match up against Cinci - probably the best scenario for a playoff game.
This works out perfect. Bengals will know if they are playing for a higher seed or not. Hopefully they aren't and rest their starters.
