I was thinking about the 2nd rounder which we aquired in the draft from Washington. Does anyone else get the feeling we will end up using that 2nd rounder to get some kind of player after the June 1st cuts?

That would be a nice pickup! I was thinking more of a WR though.... Hopefully not Jmac 2. =/

    Who freaking knows?

We only can make an assumption. When we know who gets cut, then we can decide.

It would be nice to get a wideout.

His teammate Ashley Lelie was also on the trading block I think. Also the Raiders were looking to trade Jerry Porter...those might be two options I wouldnt be angry with, especially Porter

I do not want Lelie, he is an underachiever, Porter would like nice in green

Remember that Denver traded a 2nd rounder for Javon Walker...Lelie and Porter are nowhere near the talent he is...a 3rd rounder might no be unfair.

Im thinkin the Raiders would be our most realistic option. They were looking to dump him a little while ago, and they dont view him as worthy of a #2 slot (Gabriel or Curry or some bum is rising up the depth charts). Maybe this is the type of glut of talent at the position that another article mentioned would interest a trade with us

I get the feeling that we value the draft pretty highly. They might shop it, but I bet in the end they will decide they can draft someone better than they can get in a trade.

YOU DON'T TRADE DRAFT PICKS FOR FAs... YOU JUST SIGN FAs AS THEY ARE NOT ASSOCIATED WITH ANY TEAM!!!

I think this is most likely. We need to go inot next years draft with armorment. What you have opens up options that otherwise may not be there.

I agree. I wouldnt want to trade that pick. That would go against everything that Tangini has shown already.
Build through the draft including depth. Sign the value fa to compliment and compete for the position.

Trading that #2 for Lelie would be a waste of value of that pick. If everything works out right, The Skins #2 pick should be higher then the Jets #2 pick in 07.

No, I do not get that impression but who really knows? I think that pick will be used to move up in rd1 and try to get BRADY QUINN if our QB situation falters this year.

You also have to remember that Walker also said that he would rather retire than ever play in GB again so that might have lowered his value

I'd take Porter, Lelie hasn't done anything since he has been in the league.
