The Jets defense has folded like a lawn chair late in a lot of close games this year. Today wasn't the first time we saw a team just march down the field to tie up a game (Jacksonville) or win a game (Miami).

You saw the 3 botched chip shots, didn't you?

The Jets were not stopped today they self destructed on two FG attempts, a blown coverage and a melt down from their leader on the OL.

The Jets played the game the coaches planed for all week. Close to the vest get the lead, run and defend.

I don't blame the defense for this loss. They played well for most of the game. Actually I was surprised the Jets lost this game. This is what they do. The offensive line was TERRIBLE today. Atlanta came into the game as one of the worst teams against the run, and the O-line could not move them. Also to me it seemed like whenever Sanchez went back to pass, he was under pressure. Sanchez didn't distinguish himself either. Was it me or did anyone else notice that when he goes back to pass, he seems like he's thinking too much. It was like he was afraid to make a mistake.

So when does "who should the Jets draft?" talk begin?

the lack of O is putting too much pressure on the defense.......so we cannot "blame" the D so to say....

however, the end of the game failures (falcons, fish, jags) is a bit alarming and, IMO, points to a lack of pass rush, penalties, and a gassed defense.

You think 37-38 FG attempts are chip shots?

Would you be laughing like a child if the score was 16-3 at worst late in the 4th Qtr? I have yet to see you acknowledge the most obvious aspect of the outcome which was the STs botching THREE chip shot FGAs, THREE.

You can't be that blinded by hatred.

for an NFL kicker anything inside 40 should be considered points on the board. No kicker with a poor percentage inside this range keeps their job.

You think it is acceptable to botch 3 FGAs inside 40 yards? One time is not acceptable for gods sake. To answer your question, yes I do.

anything from within 40 is a chipshot IMO. you're a NFL kicker, you get payed millions of dollars to kick a ball through two poles. DO YOUR FUCKING JOB AND MAKE THE GOD DAMN FUCKING KICKS.
