Here is the helmet Westbrook will likely be wearing.

Such a shame. Turning white is a fate no athlete deserves.

I remember seeing him in a press conference last week talking about how worried he was of the repercussions of these injuries. He is 30 years old with a history of leg problems and now head trauma to add to the list. I honestly think that this could be the penultimate season for Westbrook, if not his last.

He was nuts to stay in Philadelphia and let Andy Reid treat him like the starting HB and #1 receiving option.

I really like Westbrook and I hope thing turn out well for him. One of the best all-around athletes in the league.

At this point, he should most likely retire. It's one thing to have leg/knee/ankle problems after retiring but PCS and CTE go well beyond lingering health concerns. Just look up Steelers center Mike Webster. That's pretty much all you need to know.

Yeah but Mike Websters prescribed therapy, a whole lot of coke and roids had a hand too. Dude was a walking pharmacy.

I agree if I am Westbook and have enough money saved up and didnt invest in a $300,000 sound system for my Bentley and free houses for my posse, I am retiring. No thanks to eating oatmeal and banana puree out of a spoon the rest of my life like Al Davis.

You see those helmets a lot in college. If they're that much safer they should be mandatory.
