http://www.newyorkjets.com/ Live now QB starting is still uncertain. BobGlauber VIA Twitter. Mark Sanchez and Kellen Clemens split practice reps. Rex Ryan says he will wait to see tomw how Sanchez feels before giving him more work.
Rex also saying Shonn is showing improvement in practice with ball control/protection. Said it was 'glued to his chest' haha.
rodboone via twitter. Rex will check with doctors tomorrow morning and go over things with them, then decide. Said it will be strictly medical decision. #Jets
Have to agree the 2nd Miami game one of his fumbles cost us a Touchdown. Not saying he cost us the game, but it was apart of the mess.
Dude I am about to eat my fucking screen! Please get that fresh mozzarella and tomatoes outta my face!
Well, I just listened to the entire thing (quite long) and I can't believe this is still up in the air. There is considerably more discussion about Sanchez than you might have thought there would be after resting this past Sunday. It's been a week since his brace arrived and he's been wearing it. If he was as good to go as they had anticipated last week, he'd be taking all the snaps and we wouldn't even be concerned about this anymore. But I thought all along that there was more to the injury, and apparently there is, otherwise they wouldn't be splitting the reps. Ryan spoke of, "If you see him on the field, you'd think everything is okay, because he's walking around and doesn't have any visible signs." That's not exactly a ringing endorsement of "good to go." When asked about Clemens he again praised him up the whazoo. He said "he did everything that needed to be done... exactly what we wanted. We were up in the game and where we needed to be and he got the job done" meaning he was basically a ball-handoff machine. He reiterated his comfort level with Clemens and said he perfectly confident in his abilities. Sure didn't look that way to me but who the hell am I? I saw a lot of his earlier passes sailing way TF over peoples' heads. So it looks like Sanchez is going to be a call later in the week... maybe tomorrow but I wouldn't be surprised if it was Friday. Ryan was asked if Sanchez was going to be honest about how his knee feels and Ryan said, "Oh, he HAS TO BE. He knows how important that is and how important he is to the team." So there we have it. This knee thingy is not some little minor deal because, if it were, Sanchez would be getting all the snaps all week long.
The fresh basil does it for me. I make that salad all the time in the summer... have my own basil growing in the garden... three plants. Try mixing cubed mozzerella with halved cherry tomatoes and lots of basil... then toss it all with EVOO and balsamic vinegar. Outrageous!
Me and my wife tried growing basil this year and that shit is like a weed! We grew 2 plants at the corner of a planter and by the end of the summer it took over half of the whole garden! That being said, we love basil so all was good, but I didn't think we'd need to pay attention to it. Oh well. Edit: to stay on topic, I'm sure it's more precautionary than anything. Clemens taking snaps probably has more to do with the very real potential for another in-game injury to Sanchez than real doubts about his availability to play
They get a lot of money for fresh basil at the supermarket and you can easily grow it at home. I've got an Italian friend who makes his own pesto... throws basil and garlic in a blender, then he freezes it in ice cube trays. After it's frozen, he takes out the cubes and puts them in a ziplock bag. Then, all winter long, he can take out as many cubes as he wants and throws it into his spaghetti sauce.
Rachael Ray is more of a fast meal thing... 30 minute meals. Nothing wrong with her, but she throws her shit together in a hurry. Now if you want Italian, you watch Lydia Bastionich or Mary Ann Esposito or even Giada DeLaurentiis. Those are some WOP broads that really know how to throw a good Italian meal together.
I don't know if you read my post in an earlier thread about the PCL injury, but it takes 2-3 weeks to heal properly and the fact that it's taking this long shows that he might not play Sunday, aggressive rehab does not replace time which is the most important factor in the healing process.
Pretty sure most people meant it's not an issue that can't be addressed. The other side of the argument was "Greene isn't the answer at RB because he fumbles".
If that's what they meant they imo weren't being clear about it. I thought the general take was more that he'll stop fumbling so much the more he plays. Which I don't think follows at all, unless of course he learns how to avoid doing so.
