Exactly like I was when I first joined. I'd like to say I know alot more about NFL since I joined. Shame you joined when there isn't much activity, it is alot more exciting in the season.
Anthony Rocca, Savs younger brother has retired from AFL and will try to emulate his brother as a Punter in the NFL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hWP0izNpsU&feature=related
Yeah, it was. I watched Ben Graham with Thunderbird and KurtTheJetsFan at TC when he first joined the team and we thought the world of him as a punter. He had a delivery that was unmatched. Don't know what happened along the way but I, for one, wish him well. He put a very unusual and uncatchable spin on the ball. Good Luck Ben and Thanks!
lol, amazing this thread went 3 yrs without a post, now its brought back up after Graham got cut, TWICE by the Jets, lol.
Since he's gone back to his original kicking style he's been great. It amazes me that the Jets tried to change his technique.
I was happy to see him go to a Super Bowl last year after the journey he took to the NFL. Especially with the way the Jets dumped him, then had to re-sign him, then dumped him again. He's on a lot more stable ground and is probably enjoying the hell out of his life today - and after Sunday night's game, he's got as good a chance to go to another Super Bowl as anyone on any team.
I wonder if he would've made his own decision to run up the Raiders middle like Weatherford. On that note, Weatherford has not impressed me at all. Why is it so hard to find a good punter, you would think there would be a bigger and better supply for this "talent".
Weathorford isnt that bad either. and his ability to run is a nice option to have! fact is, in the NFL most punters are a dime a dozen, except for the few good ones like Moorman etc, which of course stay on the team they're on because the team obviously really wants to keep them. thats why we've had a revolving door here since Tupa left. personally i would keep Weatherford because you never know when that fake might just pick up a crucial first down...
exactly, other than the 5 or 7 top flight punters, the position is a revolving door in the NFL. i think we caught a diamond in the rough in that our punter is a track star, and its not like hes punted bad either. it would seem that teams would have to worry about his running, meaning theyd probably be more likely to send more rushers after him, hurting their chances at setting up returns.
