Sorry if this is posted already, but I heard on the Fan this morning, that Bill Parcells is possibly going to option out of his contract with the Phins and head to Cleveland.

    Did anyone hear this?

Maybe he was one of the six callers CW heard from.

    What do you guy's think?

This thread is a bit deceiving because you're talking about a rumor. Ur title makes it seem like it's a done deal.

At least he'll be out of Miami. U cut their talent scout at the head and the rest of the body will fall.

I hope so. The NFC would be even better.

? Cleveland is in the AFC, I can't blame you for forgetting though because of how irrelevant they are.

He meant Parcells in the NFC would be even better than him going to the Browns.

    Yep.

As long as he is out of the division I am happy, though.

+1. If he can do just enough to piss off the Steelers and their fans, I will love this.

Call me crazy, but why would guy at his age and stage of the game, leave sunny warm Florida gig to go to a shithole in Ohio? Especially if it is only to be GM. I don't get this rumor, although with Parcells you never really know.

Does he hate Buffalo or something? His GIANTS beat us in SB XXV, worked for the PATS, JETS, and DOLPHINS, as well as coached the COWBOYS, a team that beat the BILLS twice in the SB. Now he's gonna head down the I-90 only 3 1/2 hours away to a team who's only two wins in the last 19 came against the BILLS?

Money. He has a clause in his contract with Miami that if ownership changed he could collect a balloon payment and leave at any time.

Parcells always goes to what seems to be the worst team in the league, where expectations are so low, anything he does positive is viewed like he is a hero.

Because he can't stand the owner or all the rock stars the owner is selling pieces of the team to. That's probably why. Not to mention he can leave at any time and still get paid through the end of his contract if he does...in fact your question should have been why "wouldn't" he want to leave?
