I would really like to see us grab Kevin Walker and Jared Gaither to help out our offense a lot. Vince Wilfork would be nice to grab and if we can get Trusnik back on a cheap deal, he would be worth a shot IMO.

Gaither will probably be resigned by the Ravens. I think you mean Kevin Walter from the Texans. He's a decent slot guy, but to ask him to go from #2 to #3 is a hard sell.

Wilfork is going to want top money. Even though the NFL will see an uncapped year, I worry about how these deals will be constructed to deal with the NFL going back to a salary cap, or will there be two deals in place for when that happens.

Get dawan landry form da ravens, that dude tackles like a lb and he has like 4 or 5 picks this year, I would love for him to replace Kerry "Hollywood" Rhodes. Leonhard and landry = monster backfield.

I don't think there's anyone more tough on our team than Jenkins so his joke was pitiful.

banta-cain would be a good depth signing for olb. especially if we cut gholston.

i'm probably gonna catch shit but i'd sign chad to play emergency 3rd string qb if he agrees to the vet minimum. sanchez and ainge/o'connel with chad to help in the classroom.

You guys are hyper sensitive. Panthers fans coined the nickname "Krstina Jenkins," due to the inordinate number of plays he missed due to various injuries. Fact is that he IS a bit inury prone. If that makes you angry so be it.

Was actually originally posted by rmagedon6 when the defense looked like the reincarnation of the 1985 Bears in pre-season.

I realize were running very low on draft picks but I really don't think trading Jenkins would be a good move at all. He was the anchor for this defense before he was hurt.

This team really needs to start grooming Jenkins' replacement as soon as possible and it would be good if we can draft someone that has the ability to play in the middle and allow them to learn from Jenkins.

I think Turd Ferguson is more likely to be finished than Jenkins. Ferg is 35 and just tore his quad, he's also had a history of severe injuries. I don't think there's any chance NE lets Wilfork leave. The decision to trade Seymour indicates they will be paying Wilfork.

I'd be surprised if we bring anyone in at OLB. We have so much money poured into that spot it sickens me. DL and OL depth would be ideal. We have a lot of talent on this roster as is... depth is another story.

You want to continue this nickname after he suffers a freak injury that would have put anyone down for the rest of the season?

That's the paradox. Terrance Cody could be the next replacement and the defense could be almost just as strong. The thing is that he wouldn't learn from anyone if the Jets traded Jenkins for picks because they need to fill a lot of holes. If they keep Jenks, there is a lot of money at one position and the line still doesn't have young DEs that can come in and take Douglas and Ellis' place. Those two really need to be replaced.

I just think about Jenks having two bad knees and hitting 30... I don't know if he can hold up the same way anymore. I'd rather trade him and find the replacement and use those two picks to get a DE and a CB.

I understand the need for more draft picks next year. I also understand that Jenkins will never be the dominant force he has been over the last year and a half again. However, trading him would be beyond retarded. 75% of Jenkins is probably still better then any other NT we could replace him with.

Kampmen is better suited as a 4-3 DL.
