- First and foremost...the run D has to stop the Panthers run game. I'm not too concerned about the passing game...because Delhomme is garbage, and Revis will be on Smith like a "fly on a turd". But stopping Stewart and Williams will be a rough task...give that our Dline is missing its best run stuffer. - We need to establish our run game early & often. The Panthers are 5th against the Pass....which won't bode well for a QB who's confidence is shaken. A heavy dose of TJones & S.Green...mixed in with a short passing game...would probably get the job done. -Protection of the QB. Peppers and Beason are animals...and will be coming from all sides. The oline will have to be stout to give Mark the time he needs to go thru his reads. -And lastly...the playcalling. Don't get fucking cute, Schotty. As mentioned, this is a stout Pass D Sanchez is up against....just dial up the plays that work to our strengths....I don't want to see any triple reverses to Brad Smith. thoughts?
Agree. Keep the ball on the ground as much as possible on offense. Force Delhomme to make mistakes on D. This game can be won by K.I.S.S.
I agree too, Gene Simmons would make a great safety. We definitely have to establish the run early and run some short PA passes to keep the D on its heels.
Stop Deangelo Williams....end of story. Williams has a big game and the Jets lose. Delhomme isn't going to win the game on his own. The Jets have failed to stop Welker and MJD the last 2 games, two huge playmakers.
This. You guys should be able to take them. I know you've been playing some bad ball lately, but a team like Carolina is just what you guys need right now.
Even if we follow the obvious blueprint for victory here, we could still lose by virtue of Sanchez's turnovers. All it takes is a pick six or two. It sucks having a QB whom makes you nervous everytime he throws a pass. Remember Chad in 2002? Everytime he passed the ball, I felt it would be a completion. I miss those days.
For starters, you bench Rhodes. What's that? Oh we did that already? We're gonna win now baby. Oh yeah!
If we follow the obvious blueprint Sanchez doesn't throw the ball much. We keep it on the ground, and throw short passes to guys who are wide open thanks to the ground game.
it would be hysterical to see the Jets rape the Panthers after benching him. it would also be hysterical if E. Smith has 2 picks and a sack.
well...Rex did compare E.Smith to Ed Reed during TC....let's see if that rings true this sunday
crushing the panthers . lol id be suprised if we can even have a lead at any point in the game....i think many on this board are in denial about how bad this team really is.
We played the Saints already..... have fun guys: http://forums.theganggreen.com/search.php?searchid=308408 __________________________________
