It's a twelve-team league with starters at QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, RB/WR/TE Flex, TE, K and DEF QB - Drew Brees, Kyle Orton RB - Michael Turner, Ronnie Brown, Cedric Benson, Ricky Williams WR - Chad Ochocinco, Steve Smith (NYG), Dwayne Bowe, Mike Sims-Walker, Jerricho Cotchery TE - Zach Miller K - Matt Praeter DEF - Pittsburgh, Indianapolis I'm pretty much set at QB now that I'm through Brees' bye week. I start Turner and Brown at RB and Benson at Flex whenever possible. Norwood I'll probably have to drop to pick up fill-ins at my other positions when their bye week comes up. WR I have sick depth, though sifting through who to start when their bye weeks finish might be a (good) headache. TE could be a problem but I'm not sure how to fix that, as the owners who have the main TE's are also in the playoff race and not inclined to trade them. Gates is on a 4-1 team, Witten's on a team that's 2-3 but the owner's a Cowboys fan and he just traded his other TE so no dice there. Clark I doubt is gettable on a 3-2 team though the guy has Shiancoe too. I thought Keller would have a big year so I left picking a TE for late but he hasn't done much since Week 1. Not much on the waiver wire that seems to be useful other than maybe Mercedes Lewis and Pettigrew. I still think the Steelers' D will be fine once Polamalu comes back. SF and Cinci are the best team-rated D's out there on the wire.
Well someone in my league dropped Zach Miller so I picked him up today, too bad I didn't do it in time to use him over Stone Hands Keller Of course Belichick's douchery with letting Moss get a third TD probably cost me a win this week (as did Thomas Jones' career day lol).
Your team is stacked. If you had the other Steve Smith I would have suggested getting a guy who is less injury prone but you are OK with the Giant's version. I would try to use your bench to upgrade your TE and maybe you kicker as well. In a close game they may get you a couple extra points. With your lineup I am not sure how many close games you will have though.
Your team is stacked. Only thing I could say is maybe put orton on the trading block, if anybody is desperate for a QB...improve at tight end or grab another defense
12 teams, but I'm just 4-2 so far (still second in the league cause I'm ahead of five other 4-2 teams with total points) since I lost one game last week when I had 105 points and the other team had 112 and lost the other week in my only game with less than 100 points when Brees got shut down against Buffalo. With my Week 8 byes and Cotchery's injury situation I'll probably be playing the entire Wildcat against the Jets (oy) BTW I did drop Norwood for the Colt D a week early, figured I'd play them during the bye too over picking either the Rams or Lions against each other.
lol, so much for a stacked team...lost three in a row, two to the last-place team that week though last week was something of a fluke as I had the second highest point total that week, and this week well needless to say I lost Benson, Turner AND Brown to injuries in the same week hmy: So I'm 5-5 but through a fluke I'm still in fourth place (six teams make the playoffs) since no fewer than SIX teams in the league are 4-6 with one at 3-7 and I have more points than the other 5-5 team.
lol, they're the only two that are any kind of fantasy relevant. I picked up Snelling and Scott since it looks like all three of my starters are out next week, had to drop my backup D and TE. I'll have to pick a TE back up once the extent of these injuries is more known.
