every year i hear the same thing...believing the hype....when is the hype going to be real this is all ridic to me
Turk, you and I both know when the hype will be real. Kinda like what that judge said a while back: "I can't tell you what porn is, but I know it when I see it.." Until then, you can believe that Ryan's job just got a helluva lot harder. We now officially have a credibility gap between the team and its fanbase. If Ryan and Tanny aren't careful, that gap will become a chasm.
i agree with everything you just said...but my whole thing is why does this happen year in and year out and when will someone put an end to it
I really thought that Ryan had changed the aura of the team - it really seemed that way early on - but it's just eerie the way his new-attitude Jets are finding ways to lose that look so similar to our disappointing teams of the past. I still hold out hope that he will get past these initial bumps and improve things going forward, but why are we going backwards in such dramatic fashion once again?

They promised that this team would be different, and I believed the hype. Well, this is what I get - disappointment. I should know better.
When we get personnel in here, Coaches and FO included, that knows how to build "a winner". Yeah, Tannenbaum knows how to get a player that he wants, but can he put together a "elite team" is still in a gray area. We got 3 units manned, a coaching staff and a Capmaster as a GM. How many guys, and coaches, truly know how to win??? Right now? This team doesn't know how to win games. It fails to close out opponents, it fails at critical points in the second half. Even the strongest unit on the team now fails at critical junctures. Ryan's express has gone horribly off the rails and for 2009, its too late. For his sake, Ryan had better start the evaluation process in preperation for Ryan 2.0. That will tell us if he's really ready to be a HC instead of simply a DC.
